Sennheiser HD 650 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

I can obviously only comment on my own personal hearing preference. I upgraded to the HD650's after having HD558's for the last 5 years, I was concerned that I may not get what I hoped for, that there may not be that much improvement but fear not. These headphones are just outstanding. Clear, Detailed and for me, more than enough bass. And they're not even broken in yet. I never thought they'd be this good. Worth every penny. Really happy with the sound quality and the comfort of the fit. It was a gamble for me in purchasing these (given the cost) however I am so glad that I did as the overall experience is transcendent. I use these primarily for gaming however even videos and music have been amazing. Why I didn't step up to these earlier I don't know but if I could advise my old self it would be to spend the money on these earlier then trying multiple cheap headsets.

I purchased this a few months ago to have a dedicated wired headphones set for my computer and i am thrilled with its performance and reliability. I honestly dont think i will ever need to buy another set of headphones, until this one breaks, of course.

I bought these around 12 years ago and they are still some of the nicest sounding headphones I have ever heard. They are probably the best for value vs quality of sound in my opinion.

I have owned mine for around 20 years, and after replacing the headband (someone sat on them and they snapped), the wire and finally the worn out ear pads, they still sound just as amazing and feel brand new. What seemed like a stiff price at the time turned out to be amazing value and quality. I own McIntosh and Focal HIFI gear, and I do love high quality audio, and I have never felt that I needed better headphones. These sound really really amazing and the quality and parts availability make them the buy of a lifetime!
