Sennheiser HD 660S 2 - Wired Audiophile Stereo Headphones with Deep Sub Bass, Optimized Surround, Transducer Airflow, Vented Magnet System and Voice Coil

I'm totally satisfied with the headphone. Well built and comfortable to wear. The vivid sound stage and meticulous details of replayed music are highly enjoyable. Not strong in dynamics but the beautiful music, particularly of jazz and vocalist, more than makes up for it.

Compared to my old HD650 pair these new 660S2 cans are more appealing - the old ones were great but boring, these have some cool style and the accurate sub bass will help mixing, these are ustill neutral and flat enough to use seriously for judging the tonal characteristics of a mix

Nearly every review I have read and YouTube video I have watched has told me that the 600's and 650's are superior to the newer 660s2's despite their age, so I believed them and bought some 650's. Yes they are exceptional cans and deserve their legendary status, but curiosity got the better of me and decided to try the 660s2's. Granted I'm no expert, but I think the 660s2's are better headphones in every single department. Ever so slightly more comfortable, a smidge more bass, a tad more detail, a bit wider soundstage and a more modern, stylish paint job. I think they are a step forward, not by much, but how could they be? Sennheiser shot themselves in the foot all those years ago by setting the bar so high.

Really lots more detail in the mid range than other studio headphones I've tried, high end is precise and the bass is about right. Happy to use these for mixing.

I have the original Senheiser HD600 and love the feel of these and sound on my head so wanted an upgrade as wanted a bit more bass and these headphones are the most comfortable and best sounding I have experienced and trust me I've been trying to get to my Utopia and these are the one we for me

I am very happy with this purchase. Supremely comfortable to wear, very nice/quality engineering produces a high fidelity sound experience... I particularly appreciate Sennheiser following up with the sound samples via email, whereby I received a 'guided tour' of the capabilities built into these headphones... Supreme quality - excellent sound reproduction - no regrets, would buy again...

As someone who never had a Senn before, the S2 simply matches all of my expectation of the iconic Senn sound. Enough bass but not muddy, warm mid and not fatiguing highsl, combined with wide and precise soundstage. With everything combined, the first time hearing music playing on the S2 did not surpurise me like the Hifiman Sundara or Beyer 1990pro, but I slowly enjoy music on the S2 more than i did on the Sundara or Beyers. However, I do wish the mids to be a little foward and bright.
