My relationship with this camera is in its infancy! I think so far the most frustrating thing is my internet, I'll call Windstream tomorrow and see if they can get our speed back up so we'll see.
The camera came packaged well, and it came in relatively quickly, even a couple days early.
Our box was missing the packet of screw for the wall hanging kit, but if we choose to go that route we have screws, so no worries. I downloaded the all (literally the cameras name), the camera connected with the WiFi and my phone seamlessly. I updated the hardware on the camera, it only takes a couple mins. There's sooo many options with this camera that I love. You can use the app to call the camera, or they can touch the front of the camera and call my phone. There's background music, I can make videos, it can either record 24/7 or only when a pet or person walk by. Take some time to click around in the app to familiarize yourself with the settings, and the options. My biggest concern at the moment is that it records and I can play the video back, but when I try to watch it live the camera starts losing WiFi signal??? I tried to get a screenshot of it, but the number starts high 180k and slowly counts back to 0k, then starts searching for a signal. I tried it in LD, HD, 2.5k (idk what all that means, I was just hoping one of them would hold the signal), but nothing changed. I'll call my service provider tomorrow to see what they have to say and possibly update the review. So far, the camera is awesome to record and look back, but it's not great to watch live. I really love this camera, so I'm hoping we can fix this issue tomorrow. My children tried to call me, but it was searching for a signal, it rang on my phone but wouldn't connect. I have a special needs child that has insomnia, so this will be an invaluable resource for our family, if we can get the bugs worked out. Either way it's an easy 3-4 star camera, if I could watch live it would be 5 :)
I chose this camera because it doesn't require a subscription, the sd card comes already installed and it works with slow or fast WiFi. There's a bit of a learning curve and a few bugs you'll have to work out, but over-all it was easy for me to set up. I usually do not touch anything electronic, my husband is in IT, so anything I can do, he can do better, but outside of the wifi numbers bottoming out as soon as I try to watch live, it's great!
