SentrySafe .7 Cu Ft Security Safe

The X075 meets our criteria for replicating the basic security (no fire or water protection) of a hotel safe to store our important documents, electronics and valuables at a reasonable cost. The unit is well built with predrilled holes to secure the safe at the base and/or at the back. Setting up to an eight digit code was easy with the peace of mind of the override keys. Very pleased after having done tons of research.

I love this little safe, I am aware it really only stops casual stealing in your house from visitors. Thats the purpose ...... any dedicated or educated thief can defeat this safe but thats not the point of this unit. Top marks for ease of setup and use. I have bought this same unit twice now.

I really like the size for my smaller items. Depending on what you put in it, it can hold a lot. However, my old safe which was the same type and bought from same place eight years ago, failed to alert me about the battery and it died. Had misplaced keys and could not replace them as Sentry stopped making for that model. Hope this one lasts longer and works smarter. Otherwise, I would have given it a five for my purposes.

The safe secures my valuables from easy theft but the way it's constructed to enable you to bolt it down seems it would allow water or fire to come in contact with the safe contents. I admit I just assumed it was fire or waterproof so I did not make sure that it was.

Secure, strong and perfect size for what we need. Like the double redundancy for locking and unlocking. Even though the safe can be secured to a wall in my opinion it could be much heavier. That being said very happy with my purchase of the Sentry 0X75.

Safe is a good size. Have not programmed a digital code yet so cannot comment on that. The keys are quite stiff to turn but perhaps after a spray with WD40 that will improve. There was an issue with the third party seller not receiving the order from Walmart however customer service assisted with providing sellers phone details.

I own two of these saves from five and six years ago. This new safe is not made as well as the old ones. The locking mechanism is rough and finishing is not as good. The battery compartment fell out and needed to be taped in place. Great size but quality has been reduced.

This safe is ideal for low crime areas and not so smart bad guys. But the walls are too thin and not made of titanium. Also it is not fire resistant nor water proof. So I plan to make some upgrades to the one I have. I won't replace the walls and door with titanium. But I can add Ceramic Fiber Insulation to make it resist an intense heat blast. And put all the contents inside simple zip lock bags to make it water resistant.

This "safe" is not a safe. I failed to read the whole box when I purchased it -- it is not fire resistant and it is not waterproof. I has two fairly large holes in the flimsy rear wall. It is nothing more than a metal file box and is highly overpriced.

Size and other factors were fine, but 1/3 of the numeric keypad did not work. 1/3 of the keypad is intermittent. Trying to figure out if I need to replace the whole unit or if they will send parts. Unit is already mounted. Suggest tying EVERYTHING before mounting.
