I bought this safe for my daughter as a gift in her new home. She asked for a small safe. This is perfect for what she needed. It holds quite a bit. It comes with a key to lock up your important documents, pictures, etc. It also has a very sturdy handle for carrying. What a great company....if you have a fire, they will replace your safe for free! Hopefully, that won't happen but it's nice to know it will be replaced in case of a fire.

I've had this brand myself for many years. I had one during a mobile home fire back in 2002 that once the fire department pried open the contents inside were dry and clean. Ever since then I have stuck with this brand. I also have a larger one now. Now that my daughter is 17 I decided to purchase this one for her so she can begin storing her personal documents herself (birth certificate, social security card, shot records etc) The key is different than my older lock box, but its easy enough for her to use. It comes with 2 keys, so I put one of them in my own safe in case she ever misplaces her key someday. The handle is a nice feature.

I've had one of these for years. I got this one for my kid. There is room for most people's documents etc. this box is on the floor of my closet and when I can't reach the top shelf it makes a great step. The key works very easily. It's a great size for my needs.

We live in an ocean area that there are some calls for evacuation. To avoid panic for any reason, this box holds the important stuff that you do not want to forget. So having it packed and ready to go in 5 minutes is not only convenient to pick up and go but prevents worrying whether you have your valuable papers when you have to leave home.

My husband and I had purchased that chest safe in the past and we have had no problems with ours and our son and his family had a scare in regard to a fire so as soon as that happened we went and ordered the same thing so they would not be concerned about losing important documents if a fire or break in could occur.

The case itself seems fine, keys are different than any other I've had before, not sure how secure they are, handle is cheap, I filled it pretty full and when I picked up to carry the handle bowed.,not made for heavy items, if it breaks I could never carry it with out.. also I can not access the warranty screen to register warranty.. so that's up the creek.

after putting my items (fractional gold precious metals in it) the handle broke. with only 13.5 ounces of fractional gold peaces it. fair enough to use.

not very deep area inside this fire safe box to put many items. this is the 2nd one purchased due to the small interior space. too soon to tell if this safe holds up in a fire or water disaster situation since this has not yet occurred in the location the 2 boxes are in at this time. lost many valuable documents, thumb drives, etc. in recent house fire that totally destroyed the entire house %26 everything in it. this time will be more prepared! might need to purchase another safe box of the same or larger size due to interior size limitations of current purchases.

The lock sticks really bad. It looks to have plastic lock parts. The key is a big pain. I am returning.
