I had a sentry key pad safe just a bit smaller but lost the instructions and it seems they no longer have it in the system. It was running out of battery power so I needed to get another one. Bought this one just because it has a combination lock and I won't have to worry about changing batteries. If it came with at least one shelf it would have been perfect. I now will need to buy one.,
One word to describe this safe: “excellent!” This is not a paid review!! Honest feedback after owning it for 3 months now, works like a champ! I've owned and tested many versions of this safe from other companies, but truthfully nothing compares to SentrySafe! Love it and would purchase it again if had too. Recommendation, Buy ground anchors to have it anchored in the ground for added protection and security! It is light enough that someone with a little bit of strength could walk off with it, but I recommend placing the safe in a area that does not have much foot traffic and get ground anchors to have it mounted in the ground. I have mine placed in a closet, anchored to the ground and A keypad door lock. This way, in a rare case, somebody breaks in, it takes a lot more time for attempted theft but gives me enough time to call police and stop the thieves myself.
so far so good. nice sized for most stuff, you can definitely stack a lot of stuff in this, its heavy enough where your girlfriend or wife couldnt carry it out by herself. you only get one code for life with this safe though. you cant reassign a different one later, so dont forget what it is!! the only thing i have a concern about is the handle/latch. i feel if someone was really trying to get in that the latch might break? i dont know, its not like i have people pulling on the handle everyday either. wish there was a little light inside that came on when opened. and its tall enough where you can put it next to your bed and it could almost be a night stand too.
Safe is nice, but wasn't aware of the moisture problem. Appears to be good quality and solid material.
Was expecting less plastic and more metal, is it really safe and fireproof or is it just a plastic box? Idk and I hope I will never have to know. For now it is ok for the price point, but it doesn't make me feel very safe in general... I guess you get what you pay for.
I'm really disappointed that I cannot set up my own numbers for the combination lock. I feel like this should be a part of the security for the safe. I know personally that having a unique identifier, in this case the numbers to the combination lock, is key to security. Besides that, It would make better sense to build the actual lock out of metal. The plastic dial seems a bit cheap. When you slow it down to land on your number, the plastic jumps a little. I recall my high school locker combination lock rolling smoother than this one. I hope it holds up.
It should also have a key so that If you do not want to use the dial, you can go ahead and lock the safe
My fault i grabbed the wrong safe. However the combination dial feels very cheap and no physical key for backup.
I'm having problems with it and you all won't accept my pictures or anything on your site for the problems and questions I'm having. It's like you used leftover parts from other safes to put this thing together. Someone could easily get into this safe from the back because there's easily accessible holes to drill into, I thought the inner insulation was supposed to be concrete as well, but it just flakes off with my finger. That doesn't feel too safe to me. There's no bolts that even come with it to bolt it down to a wall not a floor like the directions say, so why are they even there. There's no door pocket like it says and it has a spot for batteries which it doesn't need??? Like I said leftover parts stuck together. If it had no holes in the back or at least a bolt down kit with wall mount instructions and the right door with a pocket like the box says, "key hooks and door pocket" and something for the batteries to use like a light it would be a decent safe. But the way it is now absolutely not. It's not a safe if you can easily enter it through the back.
safe came dirty, and the paperwork was not new. I would have brought it back, but I have severe back problems and had surgery. I'm not able to lift it and don't have any help. sad and disappointed 😞
