Nicely compact for smaller spaces. Heavy but still manageable. Instructions are easy to understand and was able to open combination on first attempt. Hope to never find out if it's fire and water proof but eases my mind that the contents have a chance of surviving.

This seems like a sturdy and secure safe. I like that it has the combination lock and a key override. To me a combination lock is better than a digital one as you never have to worry about the battery for the digital entry to die. The combination code is pre set at the factory. If you register the safe online, and forget your combination, you can get it that way. I like that there is a shelf in the safe and that the shelf is adjustable. There are 4 levels you can place the shelf to fit your needs. Great product.

Lol As advertised. Deceptively heavy but OK. The on!y down side is advertising on outside of package pretty evident to everyone I now have a safe not ccol.

Safe came exactly as described. Combination is factory set and can't be changed on this model. Override key is an important feature.

We needed a safe for important documents and several household items and this one fits the bill perfectly. It's not too big and is easy to operate. We like the override key option.

I Just Got This Safe %26 Was Reading About So Many Before I Made A Decision. It looked A Little Different Than The Picture But Was Actually Bigger Than It Looked. Which Was A Good Thing. I bought It Because So Many Descriptions Said you Can Use It For Money, electronics %26 jewelry %26 Medicine In A Sealed Bag. But The Book Says Different. So That Is A Bit Confusing Because The Book Says No Magnetic electronics %26 It also says No Medications %26 other things the info said on page. So I'm still confused on this because that's some of the reason I Chosen This Safe. But overall it is a good safe so far. I've only had it open a few days. It also comes with a bolt down kit. It's also heavy so not easy to pick up which also is a good thing. Seems like it's a good choice juts need to look Moreno to what I can and cannot store in the safe. I would recommend this as a good safe for Mother's as long as I can store important items in the safe. It is a bit higher than bigger safes but had after reading alot I'm about it seems to be a safe with less issues and best ratings.

Don't like the combo lock, feels cheap and does not turn smoothly. Also would be nice to be able to change the combo, but I knew that before I bought it.

safe is great. but finding the CR123 batteries has become a problem. i ordered CR123 batteries but they are too short. i still don't know where im going to find these batteries.

Nice compact size and weight so that one person can handle it. Key alone OR combination alone opens it. That means fire-safe but not so much burglar-safe, but fire-safe is my main need. Design is good,... but there's rough handling at the factory. I bought one a few weeks ago and the plastic dial was cracked before boxing at the factory. This second safe has paint scraped off the silver door handle before boxing at the factory. They are not careful at the factory, but the box is well padded and the safe survives shipping. Looks like a good product as long as you are ok with minor damage to each one by the factory workers.

Pro Tip: When reading reviews, start with reading the LOWEST ratings first to be aware of potential product issues. Upon first impression, this safe immediately felt cheap in quality/material based on the plastic dial (which other reviews noted) and interior locking mechanisms (the bolts and hinge bars). I'm no expert on safes, but I have previously worked in roles where I accessed the company safe multiple times a day, from tall cabinet-size safes to smaller floor safes, all for professional/business use. So I am aware of how an extremely secure and strong safe feels like, both in material and locking features. By no means however was I expecting an enterprise quality safe, BUT ** for the PRICE I definitely expected MUCH BETTER quality ** This safe is marketed as a personal safe, so if you're eyeing it for the same purpose - be sure to lower your expectations. Some potential issues and concerns from prior reviews: Key and/or combination lock failure, interior locking mechanism failure, lower quality material. These issues may or may not be user error, and not an actual product/production issue, but hopefully these cases were simply bad units. I have not encountered an issue so far after about five months from date of purchase. Other points to note: - 1 year manufacture warranty: Honestly, if SentrySafe believes in the quality of this product, they would back it with a MUCH longer warranty, like 5 or 10 years. So the bare minimum 1 year warranty says a lot in my opinion. - Size 0.81 cu ft: It's a pretty roomy safe. I would say it's about the size of a standard file box but deeper. - Weight, 55 pounds: This was the lightest in weight of all the others safes I was researching. It's not *that* heavy considering the other safes ranged from 80 to 100 lb. So that might be a factor if weight is important to you. - I had my order delivered/held at a FedEx pick up location since it's such a heavy and bulky item. You might want to do the same if you know you will not be home for delivery. Overall, this is an OK safe. On the lower end in cost, therefore on the lower end in quality as well, unfortunately. I'm going to see how it holds up over time. If it even starts to show signs of failure, I will contact SentrySafe for resolution (hopefully), and then if necessary, invest in my second option which was the Gardall MS129 safe.
