Great upgrade from our last Sentry. Our last, similar sentry safe finally had locking mechanism issues. It was a hand-me-down so we decided to get a new one. All the quality is still there, but we love that we can just close and latch it so we don't need a key to get in every time. When we are going to leave we lock it and ll is secure. Great product and great upgrade.

We have a Smaller one that would not hold all the documents that we had inherited for my relative passing. They have an older safe with a key and combination. We only wanted a key type this fit the bill and since we already had a different one from Sentrysafe we Knew it would work.

So far, so good. It is heavier than expected, which is fine. It is very well made and accommodates our files. You might include a list for future users of what documents should be stored.

Extremely heavy. Simple key lock. Will not deter a crook. The rubber gasket ringing the inside cover appears designed to melt and seal the cover if involved in a fire. We purchased this on the companies promise alone. No need to “test” this. There is plenty of room for letter sized documents.

This safe is just what I was looking for to organize and protect our important documents. However, with no handles, it is very awkward to move around. It also has a couple of defects: 1. The plastic cover is cracked. 2. It dumps white powder into the compartment and storage surface.

This firebox is sturdy and very heavy duty. I bought it to store important documents. However, it was too heavy for me to even move it. I had to literally use a hand-cart to move it! There is no handle to aid in moving it. It is advertised as a firebox, but honestly it is more like a small safe. I like its other features but I don't know why they made it so dang heavy!

I like the safe but the plastic latch is very cheap and almost flimsy. It does not open and close easily and I'm afraid that it's going to snap off if I'm not careful. Also the lid does not seem to close flush. The front has a little more space than the back of the lid when closed.

Just purchased and am hopeful fire and water ratings will be accurate in the unfortunate situation I need to test them. Keys and latching system seem to be the weak links. Not sure how I will retrieve the items inside if the safe has to endure a fire. Overall satisfaction tbd. I pray I never have to put it to a test. Your terms and conditions seem a little misleading and I noticed you offered them after a review is written. Hmm.

The latch/lock is made of flimsy plastic, and it seems to be easy to break while closing and opening it. The safe is fairly heavy, and large, so be sure to have an adequate location for it

I wanted a small safe to keep my personal documents safe and secure. I first bought a cheaper sentry safe that I thought would work but when I got it out of the box the bottom of the safe was swollen and wouldn't sit flat. I took it back and decided to step up a price range to this safe. It seemed great until I tried to put hanging folders and file folders in it and realized this safe was also swollen and the files couldn't fit inside without bending. I had to trim 1/4" off of every folder to get them to fit. If you need a cheap safe to keep documents safe this might work but it is a cheap quality safe. If you want a nice safe keep looking.
