Purchased this item for my daughter's dorm room to secure meds and valuables. It works as expected. I was happy we could secure it to the hanging bar in her closet and rest it on the shelf below.

I am gearing up to head off to college and I felt that I needed a small safe to keep a few valuable items in. This safe was the perfect option! It is small enough to fit into a dresser drawer, yet large enough to keep my money, kindle, and camera in and still have room to spare! I think this safe is wonderful!

it would be opened with tools quickly, but works well for privacy reasons it is very lightweight and the combination can be set to your preference. comes with cable I think for the money, this is a great lightweight lockbox know that he electronic beeps when using the keypad cannot be turned off- uses 4 AA batteries I use it to lock up meds when children are around.

The Sentry Compact Electronic Sae is an Excellent device for safely storing Guns and other potentially dangerous things from children. It is easy to set up and even easier to use. When you need it just put in your code, turn the knob and presto the spring loaded lid pops open and you are done.

Perfect fit for my pistol and other valuables. Sentry makes good Security cabinets and safes. This is a security storage compartment. It will provide enough security to delay the common crook. It is by no means impenetrable, but it does what it was intended to do.

We have 3 safes all together. Two are exactly like this. They were bought for my 6 & 8 year old. Now, they can't complaining of anyone stealing their money. they work well. the only issue I have is that the key for emergencies works for both safes. It is the same key. So I can't let them have one or they would be able to get into each others safes. So I keep them put up myself. It really is not a problem. Just a flaw but easily fixed. Probably better that I keep the keys anyway. But they are great. My daughter keeps her money, iPod, bubble gum, headphones, whatever she doesn't want any of her 5 brothers or sisters to take. My older son has the bigger one. It is better for him. It is more stationary and stays in his drawer.

Although it is not designed for keepping firearm, but in my case, it is very good just for keepping my firearm away from my children at my house. it is big enough for my full size S&W SD9 VE pistol and addtional magzine and one box ammo. I can also put some valuable stuff lick credit cards, passport in it same time. and it is easy to open without looking around my key, just press few buttons, the box will be opened rightway. And I can change the code any time I want to. I like it very much.

This safe is perfect for storing money, jewelry and items as large as an I-pad mini where you want to keep them secure. The safe is solidly built and gets the job done. It is more of a deterrent than 100% secure. If someone starts smashing it with an ax, etc, it will probably break, but for most purposes it should be OK. Did not try out the combination as the key is sufficient for our purposes. One headache: had to go to a bunch of locksmiths before I found one that could make a duplicate key. (You can order from SentrySafe, but you have to get their form notarized, etc). Overall, this is a good product that delivers as advertised.

I returned the Safe to Wal-Mart. When it arrived my husband held it by the handle with his fingers and pushed on the lid.. he was able to pop the locked lid open with just his thumbs in a matter of seconds each time. Needless to say, it wouldn't secure much. We could NEVER trust our valuable to be secure in it.

I bought this to use as a gun vault but when I got it, it definitely did not look substantial enough for that purpose. Then I read the instructions which stated not to use it as a gun vault. It is very cheaply made, has a quarter inch gap between the lid where a screwdriver can easily fit in to pry it open, the internal latch is thin metal and the combo "electronic" keyboard is thin plastic. It reminded me of my old school lunchboxes....that thin. I am going to keep it cause it has a cable lock which I wrapped around my car seat bars so I can keep my wallet in it when I go jogging. For a gun vault spend a few extra bucks and get the NanoVault.
