SentrySafe Security Safe Electronic Lock, 2.3 Cu. Ft. Capacity, Black

This is the first safe that I have purchased. I think that for the money I spent...it is a good value. The safe seems well made. The door, handle and locking bolts all work good. The directions that were included were clear and accurate. I am satisfied with this purchase.

This safe is very large inside with 3 different shelving compartments. It has an area on the door when I can hang some keys. The soft material used to.line shelves makes it look nice. I love the fact the key override is hidden behind the digital panel. The battery compartment is of food quality. Its very easy to change the access pin code with just a touch of s button. This safe is very strong and heavy.

Sentry makes reasonably good safes for the price you pay. I have several Sentry safes, all purchased via Sam's Club, either in the store or on-line. One has an internal LED light, two do not. Inside the two which did not come with internal lights of any kind, I installed simple battery operated puck lights. These provide sufficient lighting to see much easier than any other way, I've found. So, my review of 4 out of 5 stars is based upon Sentry not providing internal LED lights in ALL their safes, or at least allowing its customer to choose that as an available option!

Your initial combination should be something like 12345, so that the key would not be needed to initially open the safe. The plastic bag containing the instructions and keys should not be secured as is. Tape it to the side of the safe... much easier to open. Battery cover should be simplified. The latch is impractical since it made of plastic. It can easily break when attempting to open to replace the battery. Better if the key holder cover slides down over the opening. It doesn't need to be secure because if it's closed, you'll need the combination!

It is a very nice safe,excellent construction. Unfortunately the small clips that hold the shelves do not fit properly. Several of them are not bent properly and need to be reworked. It is unfortunate that the least expensive part is such poor quality.

Safe is great - but for one problem. The batteries tend to fall out of the back of the door (inside the safe) - rendering the keypad inoperable. The battery container is cheap plastic with too much space so the batteries pop out unless you are very very careful closing the door. We now use sticky tape to keep them in

Not as expected. The size looks like it is adequate but it really isn't. It's hard to put jewelery holders in it without having to turn them which cause items on the holders to shift. The safe came with 1 shelf, not 2 and the pieces the hold the shelf do not come out easy to adjust the shelf height. Fresh batteries were installed and the safe isn't working so I have to use the key to open it. This safe was intended to be used to replace a smaller sentry safe and I am disappointed in this safe.

I bought this (my second T6331) because I like my first one so much. But something is wrong with the battery compartment on this new unit, leaving the digital code aspect non-functional. I've twice contacted support via the SentrySafe web site but nobody has responded to this day.

I like this safe, but not the inside. there are key hook on the door that will scratch your arm when putting something in it. It was advertise with mounting holes in the back, it had none. The floor anchor holes were not lined up with the bottom pad. The key is hard to turn .

Very old piece, looks used, chipped and scratched has very bad moldy odor - smells as of came from old storage ,
