I bought these to replace the old struts on my 2003 Porsche 911 Targa. These are for the rear hatch glass! The install is easy enough, simply slide off the the clips and push over the ball joint. I recommend having 2 pairs of needle nose pliers just in case you get s clip stuck like I did. Also, you’ll need a small razor blade to cut the OEM insulation of the detection wires. You can either solder them back on with heat shrink (the OEM way) or use a lug of your choice.
Initially , I thought they where too long , maybe 1/4 inch, but I realized after install and them compressed , they are a perfect, maybe even better fit than the originals. Install required the swap of the contacts for the window heater, but not a big issues. Thank you for the cost efficient replacement .
