Just started using this on a regular basis, and I am duly impressed. 4 loads today, duvet, sheets, towels and they all came out better, they came out perfect! The cardboard packing is what caught my eye, but now I'm hooked on the contents too! No more softener.
I'm impressed that a laundry detergent, (and I don't like referring to it as DETERGENT) because this product from Seventh Generation is all natural and hypoallergenic and doesn't have harmful chemicles that can be released into the enviroment. And another great factore is how my husband sensitive skin didn't act up after washinv his clothes. Most of the time, when I've used other laundry detergents, his neck would break out around where his collars touch his neck and parts of his stomack and back. He didnt have these rashes after putting his shirts on or other clothing. Like his boxers. I've had to rinse his clothes twice in the past to make sure all the soap was rinsed out to avoid an allergic reaction. With the new Seventh Generation, Free & Clear 4X Concentrate and its made for sensitive skin, All Natural, AND fights stains, I didn't rinse twice. And my husbands clothes came out smelling fresh and the best part, he wasn't complaining about his neck itching. Not a peep. I was waiting for him to make a comment in either direction because I DIDN'Y TELL HIM ABOUT USING THIS PRODUCT. Call it phycosymatic, on his part but, I really wanted to see if he broke out or started itching his neck just because he knew, hus T Shirt had just been washed. He didn't itch or say anything so, I spoke up. I asked him if his neck itched. He said no, why? Thats when I told him that I just washed his shirts in Seventh Generation All Natural, Free & Clear laundry detergent. Theres that word again, I hate using. How can this be a detergent? As save as it is but effective to clean and refresh clothes and bedding, yet have zero chemicles? I'm not sure how they did it but, I'm a believer when my husband puts on his clean shirts and I don't have to hear him say, "did you rinse my shirts twice?" And, I feel good about the waste water, emptying out into the enviroment isn't harming the animals and plant life. Our rivers and streams. I feel great about being part of that community that is doing my part. I'm recommending anyone that has a family member or even the whole family, sensitive to hars detergents, to use Seventh Generation Free & Clear. Its all natural, free of dyes and has 4X the cleaning power. My laudry came out clean, smelling fresh and took out a few spots on my husbands T Shirt that he recently dropped some coffee on. It was a WHITE T SHIRT too! Thats amazing and powerful clean! This product is also dermatologist tested and MADE for sensitive skin.
I received a sample of the free and clear detergent by joining Generation Good, Seventh Generations website/community. All of these opinions are my own and I am happy to share. My daughter cut her finger and stained her uniform shirt for school with blood. I didn't have time to wash it because it was time for school. So the stain sat. I finally got around to washing it and didn't pretreat the stain just threw it in. The stain came out beautifully! We also have skin sensitivity and chemical sensitivity. I was worried that the SLS would irritate us as other products have. So far no issues! However I would love to see a higher concentration product with less fillers. Give it a try!
I love 7th Generation Lavender. It is my choice detergent.... That being said, the new cap and measuring system is very sloppy and annoying. Please switch back to the original cap and measuring system. There is funk outside the cap and rim after each use.
I love this detergent. I've been using it for years. The new cap is horrible. When it's put back on, detergent leaks down the sides of the bottle and drips onto the floor. The old cap was so much better.
I've liked and used seventh generation products for years. But the cap on the liquid detergent bottle may finish my patronage. Couldn't you post a picture or diagram to show where these mystery marks are located? Or better yet, redesign the cap. This is very frustrating. I prefer dry detergents but I guess that ship has sailed.
I'm so sick and tired of the new cap. It drips everywhere! I don't understand why they thought this was a good design. Every time I use it, I get detergent on my hands, on the bottle, and on my laundry room floor. I had to start storing the bottle inside of a tote because it's so messy. I will be switching to a different brand until this is fixed.
I recieved samples to try out and I'm not a fan. I realize this is made free and clear with no scent, however when I pull my laundry out of the dryer and the smell dirty even when using my favorite fabric softener it makes me turn my nose up in disgust. I love the clean products but I can't do the no scent where it leaves my clothes smelling worse then when they went into the wash.
I bought this and used it for the first time today and wow is it BAD. I kept accusing my husband of needing to shower. I cleaned out the fridge and took out all the garbage looking for this mildew smell in my house. I finally realized it was all the blankets and sheets I had just washed. The smell is terrifying.
I have been using this product for years, great detergent, but the new cap design is awful, it leaks and builds a residual despite cleaning the spill everytime. Please bring back the old cap design.
