I love that they are unscented, get my dishes clean and I don’t have to worry about a chemical residue that might be harming our health left on the dishes. My glassware has become cloudy over the years but idk if it’s from using this product. I’ll take cloudy glass over chemicals. I don’t put super dirty dishes in the dishwasher because I don’t want to have a clogged food trap. I tend to rinse off my dishes before loading them up. My dishes come out clean every time and I have an older dishwasher. Highly recommend!
I use these because Cascade now uses Dawn liquid mixed in,which is not a good thing. You'll have to do your own research to understand what is in Dawn. Pretty disappointed they did that. This product Im rating, has no scent.Does a good job and is clean. I wish the store would carry it but we had to get it shipped which is no biggie. Highly recommend.
First time I’ve used. I use other 7th Generation products and like them, so thought I’d try. Worked great!! No film on dishes, fresh smell when finished-which is very important to me-and even after 2 days %26 beginning to put in dirty dishes, it’s still fresh smelling!!
Currently, I have to use two pods in order to get our dishes clean and Not have a white residue on the dishes. The could be because the dishwasher is older. It seems that the apartment complex doesn't like replacing old dishwashers here. I tried putting 2 pods in each load, because 1 pod left a white film on most of the glasses and silverware. Now, at least I don't have to buy the expensive dishwasher pods!
I've moved away from chemicals in my dish and laundry care. Seventh Generation makes a great dishwasher pod. I can't wait to try their laundry products.
Seventh Generation’s Clean with Purpose dishwasher pods are built around a plant‑based, enzyme‑driven formula that’s designed to break down grease, starches, and stuck‑on food without added fragrances, dyes, phosphates, or chlorine bleach. The core takeaway is that they do clean gunk effectively, especially everyday residues, though performance can vary depending on dishwasher design and water hardness.
I used to use Cascade max but this product has it beat by a country mile. Cleans and dries dishes/ glassware even better than Cascade. The individual packets are fine and I feel better for the environment.
Has no scent and simple ingredients but leaves my dishes with a filmy residue. My husband asked why all our dishes looked cloudy and I had to wash them all again by hand. Save yourself the trouble and either hand wash or go for the liquid detergent. It doesn't leave so much residue.
Returned as it leaves lot of residue in the dishwasher used on long sanitize cycle. Had to run extra short cycles to get rid of the residue.
Unless you put your dishes in prewashed, you’ll find it’s not very good. My son put a couple of plates in that still had some fat on them, my storage containers had a film of grease on them as well as everything else. Lots of spots. This also included the dishwasher itself! I rewashed 2 more times but not much better. I finally popped a cascade original pod in and everything came out clean.!!! It’s not that I couldn’t have just washed them, I was curious how many times they had to be washed with inferior product.
