Before using Seventh Generation bio-based laundry detergent for the first time, I read the instructions & followed them (re: the cap). From the comments, I understand the recommendation to wash and dry the cap. No problem, I easily include it in my dish cleaning routine. Other brands leak around the top edge and are impossible to clean up. This brand's cap has a wide opening & is EASY to wash.& dry.
I really like this laundry detergent it cleans clothes very well and leaves them fresh without a strong fragance .I specially love that it is free &. Clear 🥰
I bought this laundry soap because it was the only "natural" one I could find at the grocery store. I was attracted by the reduced-waste packaging - thanks for that. Once I got home and tried it I absolutely loved the geranium vanilla scent! Oh and it works great too. Will definitely buy this again.
So Fresh And Clean! Effective Yet Gentle! I am in love with Seventh Generation laundry detergent! I used to use Tide and hated the fact that I knew it was full of chemicals and fragrances and other things that were not good for us. I tried to make my own detergent for awhile, but it wasn't as effective. When I discovered Seventh Generation and tried it I was SO excited and happy that I finally found something! It works great and the lavender one smells wonderful! I love knowing that it doesn't have bad dyes and chemicals in it! It is so effective and getting our clothes clean, yet gentle enough to use on my 7 month old daughters clothes! I will continue to only use this detergent from now on! I would definitely recommend it to anyone! I received a free sample of this product to review, but my opinions here are 100% my own. I also regularly purchase and use this detergent in addition to the sample I received.
This is the first time using this detergent. The detergent itself is fine but after pouring it into the washer, I put the cap back on the bottle and it ran down the sides everywhere. After reading that you should rinse out the cap, I was disappointed. That's a lot of wasted detergent that is still in the cap. I don't think I will use this again.
I buy this detergent to help save the environment. I, too, could not find the lines for fill levels. But I thought the bottle was getting empty too fast, and you can't tell if you put in too much detergent, because it has no odor (a good thing!) So I finally went to the Internet and asked "how to measure detergent in Seventh Generation detergent bottle?" And AI told me how to look for the lines--i.e. hold cap up in front of a lamp. And I discovered I've been putting in way too much detergent. I had been filling to the bottom of the green part of the lid, which is way too much. That is why I was using up the detergent so quickly. It could also be why other people's towels are coming out scratchy.
I've liked and used seventh generation products for years. But the cap on the liquid detergent bottle may finish my patronage. Couldn't you post a picture or diagram to show where these mystery marks are located? Or better yet, redesign the cap. This is very frustrating. I prefer dry detergents but I guess that ship has sailed.
We agree with all of the reviews about the new cap!!!!! POOR DESIGN! What was wrong with the old one? We buy this laundry detergent all of the time. But, we are considering changing!!!! We still love the soap, but dislike the new cap! Actually we may even hate it. Please bring back the old packaging, or you may lose a customer.
I have been buying Seventh Generation laundry soap for years, and when I saw it on sale a couple of years ago, I bought a few jugs. However, the plastic is of very poor quality. What happened, did you change the plastic formula? The jugs easily crack, without even banging them around, and they leak detergent all over the place - it makes a big mess! As soon as I've finished using what I have left, I won't buy any more.
I purchased three bottles and I regret even buying one. Whoever designed the bottles must have hand hands big enough to hold a basketball. It is impossible to grip and impossible to pour without getting it all over my hands and the floor. Additionally, on my hands, it burns, so I don't know what is in this junk. Perhaps too concentrated and definitely not sensitive skin friendly. Bottle design is horrid for an average sized adult female hand and I don't know too many pro basketball players doing their own laundry.
