I purchased this Kayak to go out with friends on some of the area lakes. The kayak is easy to setup right out of the box and stores quickly in the trunk of my car when I'm done. The fit and comfort are great; durable material. I would definitely recommend this one.
Bought for fishing during travel with limited gear space. Put it in the water the day after I got it for testing. Carried my 225 lbs, fishing rods, tackle, and a gallon of water with ease . A day w/10-15 mph winds. Inflates/deflates easily and quickly just as advertised. Paddles and tracks as well as my two hard kayaks that I fish with. No problem going through choppy water or maneuvering for casting. The seat gave good back support and the ride comfort was exceptional. I had plenty of leg room and could enter/exit the kayak easily. The quality of both the inside bladders and the tough outer cover exceeded my expectations. Paddle was poor quality as I expected from previous reviews and was left in it's bag. I used one of my own. I am very pleased with this Kayak and look forward to using and abusing it.
Purchased 4 of these. Did a bunch of research reading reviews and kayak blogs. Took them out to a local lake today to test them out. Truly these inflate and are ready for water in less than 10 minutes. Pack away easily. The kayaks are comfortable. Compared to hard kayaks these are a bit different - they move with you so balance is key. Paddaling is also different - the kayaks are more responsive so you have to paddle a bit shallower so your craft doesn't turn back and forth. Got used to these two things quickly. Packing them into water area - I would test 36 pounds in a pack. The packs are comfortable but we are all adults. Kids or young adults might have a hard time with the weight. Really like them and the convenience of the inflatable.
I rarely review products. I'll make an exception for this one. It's really hard to state how much value and fun you can have the K5 kayak. After only one month,
We bought two of these for our off road adventures, they fill quickly and are easy to handle even in some wind.
This kayak is awesome. Quick set up and fold back up. They've thought of everything. Sturdy in the water. Comfortable.
I researched and looked at many inflatable kayaks. I am a small woman. It was difficult to transport a traditional kayak. I just took the K5 on a maiden voyage yesterday. I loved it! It inflated and deflated quickly. It is stable and tracks great! I am so excited to be able to take this kayak to any lake I desire. It is a great design. I am so happy I purchased it!
Good quality for the money. I wanted something lighter to carry to the water and this is great. It's not for white water but perfect for small lakes and streams. I actually fish with it. Durable and stable.
Did not track well and doesn't do well in swift water. I am 210 pounds and didn't have enough storage space left after I fit in. Too short for my 6 feet to fit comfortably. I like the concept and set up as it is easy to inflate with the furnished air pump. This type of inflatable should only be used in lakes and slow moving water.
The way this boat is designed the skeg is not removable and came bent probably because of the way it has to bend to go into the back pack. When I stopped paddling the boat would spin in a circle. The bright green seat bled onto the bottom of the kayak. It was good that it folded into a backpack. It was easy to set up and light weight. The included paddle is not great, but for this price point I didn't expect a good paddle. For casual use this is good, but if you want to kayak for miles I wouldn't recommend it.
