Sewing Awl

Looks to be still made the exact way it was always made. Almost hand made. Works excellant, you do have to get the technique down to make time but it works as its supposed to and you can sew stuff your normal sewing machine can't sew. Use if to sew very heavy/thick and multiple layers of cloth or leather.

The Speedy Stitcher Awl is more rugged than most. The heavy diamond shaped needle hasn't fallen out during use in leather like the Big Box Store awl this replaced.

The awl will surely come in handy but it isn't quite what I needed. I think a much longer needle is needed for my project. The awl, however I did practice using it. It was pretty simple to use and does a good job. I went online and searched for a "how to use" the awl. That helped a lot! I'm glad I purchased this tool.

Works on a leather chair with the back cushion pulling off but it's difficult. Fixed my issue and it's barely noticeable. Read the instructions.
