The hold is strong but not overly stiff. It leaves no shine and washes out nicely. The only bad thing is that it has a weird smell but overall it pretty good.

I used a lot of hair products in my life. Medium-short hair, looking for natural, matte but firm hold. That's not it. I will say it smells great tho. Keeps the hair matte but… doesn't hold AT ALL. Go with got2be clay. Trust me.
