I loooove this bed. Exactly as described and the leather feels high quality. I was trying to decide between this one and a few others and ultimately decided to go with this one because it was on the cheaper end of the other models I was deciding between, but it looked very similar. When I first opened it I ran my hand along the smooth material and exclaimed “oooooh!!!” I was just incredibly satisfied with the way it looked. So smooth and shiny! Building wasn't the EASIEST, but as easy as building a platform bed would be. You could do it on your own I suppose as my husband did most of it himself, but is definitely easier with two people at least for assembling the base part. No negatives to say about this bed! There is no squeaking or anything like that and it honestly just looks and feels exactly the way I wanted it to. I highly recommend!!!
