Barbie Pole 1, Large Mouth 0
We made the mistake of buying the LOL fishing pole first. It broke in 2 casts as my 5 year old sobbed on the shores of Lake Michigan to start our vacation. I should have trusted my gut and went with the Barbie pole- which has served my family well for generations. After LOL broke, we purchased Barbie. It came promptly and saved the day. This pretty thing has endured many reckless casts into trees and even landed my 5 year old a 12 inch large mouth bass. Long live the Barbie fishing pole!

Great rod!
My daughter who loves frozen was so excited to get this fishing rod as her first rod. This works just as well as an adult rod. I actually used this to fish as well and it held up perfectly!

Great
These poles work well bank fishing anywhere I have been. We have used them in small ponds in TN, the ocean in Hawaii, and many places in between.

my 3 yr old daughter absolutely loves this fishing pole. It has the rubber fish to practice with, we broke it 3 times and therr is still plenty of fishing line!

This is a great beginners fishing pole and very easy to use. The little fish that comes with it helps your kid practice casting and reeling before the real fishing begins. great product

Cheap Toy
This is a price of junk. I realize it's a kids fishing pole, but my non-aggressive 4 year old broke the handle off within an hour just from reeling it in with proper use. Don't buy if you want anything other than a cheap toy

Sadly, I have a 3 1/2-year-old grandson who is extremely bright, but the fact that he cast this practicing two or three times and it got completely tangled inside the mechanism that my husband who's a fisherman and my father-in-law who is a fisherman couldn't even get to work. We had to throw it out so you need to make sure you're making an item that will work for a smaller child.
