Shakespeare Tiger Spinning Fishing Combo, 7' Medium Rod, 5000 Size Reel

Great rod and reel combo. Handles big fish easily and casts like a dream. I have three of them and they work well. Change the line a couple times a year and they will last a long time.

I bought this Rod and combo last year, but somebody stole all my gear and tackle a few days ago. So I decided to purchase the same one because I thought this was such a great Rod and real combo for the price. I look forward to putting it into use.

I love this pole. It fits well for me, casts great and the reel works fabulous. What a great value! I will buy more of these when I need another pole for Surf Fishing

Great for what we needed it for - fishing off the pier in Florida - we caught a sting ray, bay shark and squid on them - versatile rod and great value when you go get yours at home!

overall a decent pole but check them i ordered mine and had to take back and them get a refund to go replace the pole because i guess its easier to give someone a card and make them go get it and rering and repay than just switching them out

Overall they are great rods and reels. they've already been on several fishing trips. My only complaint would be they tend to refuse to breakdown at the end of the trip. A little lip balm should fix that.

I bought this for a young girl for her birthday. As I bought it on-line, the first one came without a handle. I had to return it and question how the store associate could not identify it was broke. They replaced it with a new one. On the second fishing trip, I was told the handle broke and fell off during casting. I initially bought this because Shakespeare had always been an excellent brand. Today, I won't every buy Shakespeare for fishing again; and as a matter of fact, I'm not going to read his stuff either.

Ordered 2 Shakespeare Tiger Medium Heavy Fishing Rod and reels Checked for functionality 1) both Wouldn't crank at first- they seized up 2) Finally got them spinning but now noticed no reverse switch to back crank 3) Tried the rewind loop flipping function- both were hard to snap into rewind position sometimes seizing till almost forced 4) no mini- hoop to grab bait hook for storing rod 5) Didn't bother to check the drag- enough is enough

I didn't even get the item walmart stated it was in stock and and ready for pick up in 2 hours then they notified me it was out of stock and not even a shipping option I believe I was purposely lied to to tied up my money for 10 days

i waited 2 weeks for the item. Which showed as delayed but was never received by the shipping company. Walmart did promptly refund the purchase price
