We have a mixture of hard floor and low pile carpeted surfaces and this does none of it particularly well. It has a tendency to get stuck under furniture and needs to be rescued frequently. I'm also not a fan of it charging fully before finishing its mission. From the time it starts, fully recharges and completes the program it takes a total of 4-5 hours, most of which is charging. We had a different brand robot vac and it would only charge enough to finish the job before returning to the base and fully charge. The rotating blue end of self cleaning brush has a tendency to get hair wrapped under the capped end and it isn't very easy to get it cleaned out. On the plus side emptying the dust bin and cleaning the vacuum and filters/base is convenient and well thought out. I like the app and available programming options. I just wish the vacuum could perform the available tasks better. It's unlikely I would buy again.

I bought this about 9 months ago to replace a Shark that I had for 3 years that was Magnificent, it's vacuumed every morning, I emptied it every evening and used air compressor on Sundays to give it a good dusting. This Matrix is absolute junk! I spend more time emptying a dust pan that's empty and trying to figure out what's wrong with it than it spends vacuuming. I have to empty it, nothing in there, 3 times before it will do its job. Most of time there are spots on the floor it misses. Don't waste your money on this model.

This is quite possibly the worst robot vacuum I have ever used. The app is poor and I've had to re-map my house multiple times to try to get it to go to the right rooms for cleaning. It doesn't matter. It doesn't go anywhere I want it to. I have it docked in the dining room (where most of our crumbs accumulate) and if I select that room for it to clean, it goes all about the house. Why. It's is IN the room I want it to clean! The sweeping brushing often falls off and it tries to suck it up and I'll get a cry for help from it. I implore you to buy any other vacuum other than this one. I have gone back to using a broom and dustpan. Save your money. There are plenty of better non-name brands out there that work 100 times better than this one.

If you like coming home from work and wondering whether or not the several hundred dollar robot vacuum you purchased has done what it is designed to do and cleaned your basement, this might be the buy for you! On roughly 7/10 I come home from work only to find the robot has only completed 15-20% of its mission due to various reasons like getting and simply shutting down, or the brush roller getting stuck. I have dogs and intended to use this machine for “daily maintenance” of my floors in between proper a sweep and mop. I go around daily and pick up anything that may cause the roller to get stuck, only for it to not finish its job when I return home. A very frustrating product that has me wishing I didn't buy into the robot vacuum fad.

This thing is junk. It was great at first but now doesn't work well and won't vacuum my whole house without returning to dock. It also won't remap my house anymore either. I've tried all of the steps online and it still will not work correctly. It's also had a squeaky wheel since i bought it. I'll never buy one again

The app does not allow me to select certain rooms for a schedule. The schedule feature only allows you to schedule the entire house or nothing, unless you want to set ‘no go' rooms, which isn't something I want to alter every day. My map is set, my rooms are labeled, so this simple feature should be there. I would do the entire house, but the battery won't last and it has to go back and re-charge for 3 hours. I'm not happy with the purchase and may return it.

I bought a shark years ago when they came out, worked great, easy to troubleshoot and very long lasting. This version has been nothing but issues. Sub par suction, doesn't detect dirt well, and now currently will not charge, I have had this less than a year and do not have carpet. I also have this set up in a space of about 700 square feet so the bar is pretty low. I would not recommend this product at all and next time will be buying something else.

Garbage. After a little over a year, a side brush motor failed. Shark told me they would only repair it if it was under warranty and would not allow me to pay for a repair. They said my only option would be to buy a new machine at a 30% discount, which is still more than I paid for this one due to their extreme fluctuating price scale.

Worked fine at first but less than a year and a half later is done. Well maintained and cleaned regularly. Giving a bumper error 6 and wont go. Went thru ALL possible trouble shooting with no solution. Called shark was told there are not fixes for this and was offered a replacement pod for nearly the cost of a whole new system. Umm no thanks! i am beyond disappointed with the shark matrix

Absolutely horrible product. Both this off timtok. Mopping pad keeps coming off. About to run this piece of trash under my truck. Waste of money.
