Recently did a kitchen remodel and we wanted a microwave drawer. Before making the decision did my due diligence and looked at reviews and found that Sharp is the only true manufacturer of the drawer model so that narrowed our decision and the exact model was narrowed by the features of it. I love the option of motion door opening. I leave that turned on but i have had it open when it wasn't intended but that was user error. We place the drawer near a location that we stand in front of and dry dishes so the motion option is accidentally activated. But again it not the drawer fault but be aware of your placement. I am confident that if it was in another location it would not be accidentally activated. Just standing in front or walking way will not cause it to open. The option to use the Sharp app to operate it is another nice feature. The Wattage power is excellent and performance in reheating or cooking has been spot on. The interior size of the drawer is excellent for our use and no complaints there. The close drawer options are great. You can nudge it closed or select an option on the pop open control panel. While speaking about the panel and reason for our decision the glass control panel and not a plastic surface. We use the microwave daily and it when the panel starts to show wear. Hopefully it would not happen with the glass and removing fingerprints it a simple wipe. The hidden panel is also another reason for our decision. We've owned the microwave for several month and do not regret our decision. This a superior product.

We bought this microwave for our new home. I absolutely love it! Not having it on the counter is a huge plus. I haven't experienced any issues with it.

My drawer microwave is well located in the island of a newly renovated kitchen and works beautifully.

Microwave was making a noise. I chat GPT'd it and it told me I was out of warranty but told me about Sharp's service program. Called Sharp they asked to send a video of the noise and for $400 they sent a service person with the part and fixed the microwave. It was easy and painless

I was a little hesitant about the microwave drawer concept, but it's been fantastic. The controls are very straightforward and the microwave heats evenly. It makes for a streamlined panel of appliances without taking up any counter space. Love the sleek look and functionality.

It is easy to put in and take out the food. The internet connection cooking control is handy to program from your smart phone. The wave function to open the drawer is great. So far no issues after several months. Drawer opens and closes a lot. I hope it is built well to it keep it functioning for years to come. I wish there was a trim kit available. I had a trim kit made to close in the gaps to the surrounding doors and drawers on each side and top and bottom of the microwave

The drawer design is very convenient for an under-counter installation like ours. This unit replaced a traditional designed microwave that required kneeling to use. However, the Sharp is not quite as powerful requiring longer cooking times. The main design flow of the Sharp is the timer function, that every microwave should have and be easy to use. On this model, there is no dedicated timer button; rather it is embedded in the button to access the microwave's settings (clock, wi-fi, alarms, etc.). Sharp, for some reason, placed the timer feature (used frequently) second in the settings behind clock (used rarely). Consequently, it is easy to reset the clock when you think you are setting the timer. There are other ease of use features missing from Sharp that where part of our previous microwave. Despite the minor shortcomings, the microwave is working well for us.

We bought this microwave as part of a kitchen re-model. Replaced the over-the-range microwave we had for 30 years so we could install a power vent instead. This is a very convenient option instead of an over-the-range or countertop oven. We've been using it for about 3 months, and so far, we are very happy with it. The convenience was worth the premium cost, and Alexa compatibility is great. It heats foods evenly, even though there is no turntable. The HEIGHT of items that fit into the oven is limited--a few of my taller glasses don't fit in the oven, but a change in my daily habits fixed that. One minor complaint: while you can OPEN the oven with a voice command, you can't CLOSE the oven with one.

We decided to remodel our 30 year-old kitchen last year. We needed a hood vent over the stove where the old microwave oven was, but that created a problem--where were we going to put a microwave?? Installing one under the cabinet detracted from the higher end look we were paying for. And we certainly didn't want a microwave on the counter. My brother-in-law and his wife recently bought a new house, and it has a drawer microwave, so we thought that might work. The only down-side was the control panel: it has a flat control panel, so you have to lean down sideways to see it. Not very functional. After a quick internet search, we found this one! The flip out control panel is PERFECT! Easy to read and easy to use!. Connecting it to Alexa makes it even easier to control for quick jobs. We've had it for a year now, and the negatives are small ones: 1) The Alexa connection doesn't work about 30% of the time, but repeating the command once or twice finally gets it to work, 2) the crevices on the perimeter of the control panel collect a lot of crumbs. I brush them away with a small brush. But they could design that away with a little thought. 3) It is relatively shallow top to bottom. Taller glasses/items don't fit. All-in-all, it performs as expected: heats beverages, leftovers, and frozen foods quickly and evenly. It's 2 to 3 times more expensive than under the cabinet models, but good value for a modern kitchen design.

Terrible product. The panel shorts and the microwave dies. When I got it serviced the repairman told me it was full of cheap electronics and that he saw most of them only last a few months. I use mine rarely and it only lasted 2 years.
