The self setting clocks don't always behave and reset themselves so I purchased a standard clock with no bells and whistles. No more having to readjust the clock at odd times.. Just insert the battery, put the correct time in and forget about it. The only thing that has to be done is to replace the battery when it is discharged or adjust the time when it is eastern daylight time.

I'm so glad I got this Sharp wall clock! I needed to replace a clock in my bedroom and this fit the bill perfectly. It is large enough that I can see what time it is from my bed and I absolutely love the fact that it is QUIET!!!! My old clock you could hear ticking all night and sometimes that would bother me. Not now!!! I can sleep in peace and quiet all night long!!! Totally recommend this wall clock!

This Sharp clock is the perfect addition to any space. It is larger than I had anticipated, and I really love the non-ticking second hand. It is traditionally beautiful, yet modern with a constant flow between seconds. I love mine so much, I am considering purchasing more for other rooms in my home.

The Sharp wall clock is a basic wall clock in matte black trim. The hour and minute hands have a nice look because they are each two strips connected by a needle nose looking tip. It is appealing because it is not just your typical solid black minute and hour hand. The sweeping second hand is red and is smooth and silent, I really like this because it is completely quiet, no humming sound, no tick tock movement. The numbers are big, bold and easy to read from a distance. It runs on a single AA battery. I like having this clock in my kitchen where I can see it from my dining area as well. I have been checking to see how well it keeps time, and I set it to match my precision atomic clock. I wanted to see if it was slow or fast in comparison, so far so good. It has not deviated from the time on my atomic clock at all. Therefore I am very happy with this clock. There is also a one year warranty on the clock. The clock is plastic on the outside face, back and rim. It is very light weight but seems durable, and since it is plastic not metal it will not rust from moisture in my kitchen.

NUMBERS ARE NICE AND BLACK AND LARGE MAKING IT EASY TO SEE BUT THE HANDS ARE SEE THRU MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO READ UNLESS YOU STAND RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT.IF YOU TRY TO READ IT FROM ACROSS THE ROOM, FORGET ABOUT IT.HOWEVER IT IS SILENT,VERY COOL.
