Sharp Triple Action Plasmacluster Air Purifier with Humidifying Function (341 sq. ft.)

While traveling throught Japan last month, we encountered air purifier/humidifiers in every hotel and Japanese Inn we stayed, so we decided to invest in one for our home. This unit is sleek, and stylish, with a minimalist look. It fits nicely in a cubby next to my dresser, so it's out of the way, yet in a position to provide great airflow directly to our bed. I love the water basin, and the way it slides in/out so easily, with a retractable grip handle to make it convenient to carry to a water dispenser (or you can simply fill it while it's partially slid out). All of the units we used in Japan had a very 'clunky' water basin with a large threaded cap that had to be turned upside down to fill, then flip over to insert into the machine, so this water basin is a great improvement of that. The unit slides easily on smooth surfaces, and has convenient grip handles on either side to lift the relatively light unit when needed. The only downside I have right now is that to use the WiFi feature, you must connect to a 2.4 Ghz network. Mine is a 5 Ghz (it also has a 2.4 Ghz band, but I am having a lot of difficulty figuring out how to 'split' the bands). In reality, it's really not that important to me to control the unit via WiFi anyway. So far we really love the unit!

Mostly quiet and very efficient machine. We purchased this dual air purifier and humidifier for the very dry winters in NC. The humidifier is mostly quiet (low hum) until its drawing down more water, then you hear the gurgling sound of that. The air purifier only mode has the same low hum, neither are entirely distracting once you've heard them a few times. We no longer wake up dried out or get that night cough. My allergies have been better during the day. We don't sleep without either of the two functions, though i suspect in the summer, we wont need the humidifier part as much. Really happy with this machine - weve had it almost 4 months now.

Quiet, efficient, and actively cleaning the air. One unit is in our Crafts room, the other in our Game Room here at the CCRC. Residents have commented on the positive difference in both areas.

Awesome product. It's my third one, Texas water is super hard and does cause a foul smell over time that cannot be cleaned. I never had any issues with them in the past, outstanding product.

I wanted a humidifier for our apartment and this is a great product-it's very quiet while it's working. It looked brand new product when I received it, but the blue humidifier filter had a dirt on the top row from the beginning. I realized that in the end when I took out all the plastic bags away. Disappointed, so I cannot rate 5 stars.

Compact footprint, good feature range, very quiet. The two-stage carbon + HEPA filtering is a nice touch. They refer to the back cover as a "washable, microscreen pre-filter" but with 1/2+ inch square openings, there is nothing "micro" about it. Smallest thing it will keep out is your Chihuahua. Physical device setup was simple, but deducted a star for the horribly convoluted app pairing process which took 8-10 tries to complete. Problem is the unit is 2.4gHz wireless only and if you have 5-6gHz wireless (like about 99 percent of the users out there) you have to temporarily cripple your local network to the lower frequency during the pairing process. Sharp - it's time to bring your devices into the new millennium. Overall, satisfied with the unit.
