Sharper Image 2.4GHz RC Glow Up Stunt Drone with LED Lights, Mini Remote Controlled Quadcopter with Assisted Landing, Small Plane for Kids and Beginners, Wireless and Rechargeable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter age 8 absolutely loves this drone. We've had a couple before this and this is by far the best. We've only flown it inside so far but if flying outside make sure it's a calm day. These small drones just don't have the power to fly in windy conditions and risk being blown away like one of our previous ones! Positives: The stability is really excellent. It has three 'speeds' which really refers to the responsiveness of the drone or sensitivity to the controls. Setting 1 is great for learning. Setting 3 is very responsive. The built in LED lighting really helps you to see which way the front of the drone is facing. There is also an 'Auto Orientation' setting/button fly mode which means whichever way you spin/rotate the drone, moving the joystick will move it in the same direction as the stick position. The flight time is quite sufficient at about 9 to 10 minutes and recharge time was about 1.5 hrs. Real cool to fly at night with the lights! Since the propellors are enclosed (4 spares are included ), they are protected and so bumping into things typically doesn't result in any damage. In other words, it's quite robust. It has the capability of doing flips using the stunt button...very simple to use. Negatives: The only thing I dd not like was the flight characteristics with the YAW mode (rotation). It seemed to be either off on one so that you couldn't rotate slowly and easily fly the drone in a circle around you so it always faced you. Other drones have been much better in that respect. Overall: I was surprised how easy to fly this was and it got the thumbs up from my daughter who is not yet 8. Don't worry that it says age 14+. ** Highly recommended **

With a decent charge time, a robust wireless connection, and cool lighting pattern, the Drone stunt glow is awesome and a must have! It has done magic for our family time together. My daughter and I keep counting who's turn it is now to control this awesome toy! The remote control is effectively designed and easy to use. Setup took very little time. And this drone has some great features like stunt and take off that makes it so much fun to play with!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glow Stunt Drone by Sharper Image is a lot of fun. This small drone is the best one my kids have had by far. The drone has everything from several light settings for the bright green and blue LED lights, to responsive controls that include stabilization, which helps the drone reset it height and stabilize after doing tricks. The drone has 3 settings for speed and response making it easier for younger users or faster and more responsive for experienced users. My sons really enjoyed that this drone can perform 360 degree flips and reset itself in the air with no worries of crashing. Flight time length is about 10-15 minutes and the drone recharges fairly quickly in about 1.5 hours. Flying at night with the bright LED lights is a lot of fun too. Includes USB charging cable which works with a standard phone charging cube. Controller requires 3 AAA batteries. Easy-to-follow instructions included, as well as extra propellers. Overall, a really nice and fun drone that the whole family is enjoying. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids really love this drone. It is super fun! The lights are really fun on it. It flies really high. I was really worried because my son kept flying it higher and higher. I was telling him it was going to lose the signal and fall, but it never did. The box says the flight range is 164 feet. It seemed to me like he went at least that far. I liked how easy it was to pair the drone with the controller. All you have to do is turn on the drone, and remote then push the left stick up and then down. I also love the features that they have for beginners. My teenage son is a pro at flying, so he necessarily doesn't need these, but my younger sons do. I love that it has a takeoff button and an auto land. I also really love the Auto Orientation Button. This allows the drone to move the way you push on the controller, regardless of the way the drone is facing. I love this because my younger boys really have a hard time knowing what direction the drone is facing in the sky. I also love that the box has a landing pad design on it. My younger boys like to use that to practice landing on. I like how easy it is to do a stunt. All you have to do is press the stunt button and then press the joystick in the direction you want the stunt to go. The only thing I did not like about this drone, is that on windy days it is really hard to control, as the wind will push it, so I would not recommend using it in the wind. Overall, this drone is an awesome fun drone and I would highly recommend it.

It has a bit of a learning curve to flight it well but once you do it's great. The batteries last a long time. Overall, a great drone. I highly recommend.

It was just surprising that when we clicked the take off button that it flew instantly that it startled us. Took a little time to learn how to maneuver but my son got the hang of it. A little trickier to do the actual stunts. He loves the color and how it glows in the dark. This is a lot of power for a small drone. Careful not to get hit with it as the little propellers can actually hurt you. This also charges fast. Overall this is a great mini drone that packs a lot of power and it's fun.
