This is a major upgrade on a "gel shave" for several reasons. The soap discs are quick to produce a thick lather with the thick brush in the kit. I found mixing in the palm of your hand works best because you can use the brush to fully spread the thick foam you created all over your hand. The shave is close and better lubricated than the best gels I have used before. You will outlast 3 cans of shave gel by far as well I highly recommend this kit!😊

Bought this as a side Christmas gift for husband and le loved it. Leaves smooth cheeks even on "tough whiskers". Does not cause any irritation and - yes - they smell fantastic!

Good size pucks for shaving

the soaps all smell pretty good,but they are half the size of my regular soap. I had to find a smaller bowl to use them in. That is why when advertising a product, there shold be an object by it for a size reference.

This shaving puck is easy to use and creates a lot of lather - the only reason for deducting one star is the size of the puck. It is not the standard 3.5 ounces, but a meager 2.1 ounces. I use the puck by keeping it in the bottom of the bowl or scuttle and then using a wet shaving brush, just whisk up oodles of lather. This does result is wasting a certain amount of soap, but it is an easy and convenient way to lather up without having to slice or teaspoon a certain amount of soap into a bowl. The small sized puck makes it easy to use but is used up much faster than the regular sized shaving soap.

So far I've only used the Sweet Orange and the Cedarwood. Aside from the pucks being ridiculously small, there is no orange or citrus aroma in the Sweet Orange whatsoever. I'm racking my brain trying to identify the scent, but all I get is hints of…bubblegum? The Cedarwood is pleasant, much more so than the Sweet Orange, but it is far from smelling like true cedar. The price for what you receive is really not bad, but I had to use old tea cups to keep those tiny pucks from swirling around. I would have preferred thinner pucks of larger diameter, or increasing the weight. As it stands, it seems like “toy” shaving soap

Very weak scent and makes very little lather. Dries out very quickly on your face making you have to reapply mid-shave. Small size compared to other shaving soap brands. I would pass.
