This shampoo works wonderful for dry curly hair that is subject to well water. Well, water can be very harsh, especially if your hair tends to need more moisture. Through much research I found out that castor oil, shea butter and apple cider vinegar help with that. I have tried a few different shampoos and this adds hydration, smells amazing. It makes my hair feel mostly normal again.

This is my first time using the Shea Moisture hair products and I’m sold! I have tried all kinds of shampoo and conditioners to help repair my damaged dry hair from years of flat ironing/dyeing it and nothing...NOTHING else that I’ve ever tried could ever compare to SheaMoistures shampoo/Conditioner. This stuff is SO amazing! After the first wash it left my hair feeling weightless and my scalp actually felt so clean like it could breathe. (No other shampoo/conditioner made my scalp feel this way). This product gave my hair instant volume, shine and smoothness and definitley helped bring my jew curls back to life... which I haven’t seen my hair look this curly and glowing since I was a little girl. I absolutley love Shea Moisture!!! Will definitley be buying more.

This stuff is AMAZING! I straighten my hair, so after a while it starts to get very dry, brittle, spit ends and the texture doesn't feel healthy anymore. This shampoo (I did combine it with the same brand leave-in conditioner) has put moisture right back into my hair and it feels healthy again! No feeling of residue, not greasy at all, even after using the leave in conditioner. I've tried other leave in conditioners and this brand is the best by far! Absolutely worth the money. Don't be discouraged, the shampoo looks nothing like regular shampoo and does have some separation but I promise you, your hair will love it! Just give it a good shake before using. If I could give this stuff 10 stars I would.

I am so greatfull I've found Shea moisture products, unfortunately it took until I was 47. I've struggled with my curly hair my whole life. Literally, during the very first shampoo I could feel my curls finally quenched. During the first rinse I could feel/see the shine. Everyone I see, who has curly hair, even if it looks like it has the slightest amount of dryness, I always ask if they use and recommend Shea Moisture products. IJUSTLOVEIT! I'VE noticed less hair in my sink too,way less breakage. Sometimes it makes my hair too soft lol!

I've been using the Shea Moisture brand for about a year now. I had never realized how bad the other shampoos are for your hair until I ran out recently and had to use my old shampoo for a week or so. My hair was just, eew, with my old brand (which is a big name, expensive brand) and it showed. I went back to Shea Moisture and because my hair has been falling out I decided to try the restoring shampoo. Immediate change that can be felt! My hair feels stronger, smoother and healthy again. The smell is great so dont let the ingredients turn you away. The peppermint is very mild, not overpowering on your scalp or nose, and doesn’t cause the tingly feeling you'd think. This is my third style of Shea Moisture shampoo I've tried and no disappointment here! The styling products are amazing as well, even for us wavy and curly-haired girls. They have a kids line as well thats great.

I love this shampoo because my hair is over processed and dry and this really heelps with moisture rebewal . You need too make sure it's thoroughly rinsed out before you apply the matching conditioner. Its not cheap but for the value received with my hair, its a bargain.

I love this shampoo because I have colored hair, I only wish more came in the bottle, other than that this is amazing for colored hair and I have locs.

SheaMoisture Strengthen and Reatore Shampoo for Damaged Hair is a very heavy shampoo. It lathers and cleans well however it does make the hair feel heavier after use and requires another brand of shampoo to get the build up out.

First things first it is not a pure shampoo. It is 90% of shea oil and 10% shampoo. It won't give you ladder and it won't go out from the hair immediately you have to spend our hours in the washroom while washing your hair on this and side effects are very worse. You might lose your hair by using this. Trust me. This is the worst shampoo.
