ShiKai Everyday Gentle Shampoo (12 oz) | Aloe Vera, Plant-Based Low Detergent Formula | Daily Moisturizing Shampoo for Soft, Healthy Hair

I have been using Shikai Shampoo for a long time. It is even milder than baby shampoo and sudses up nicely. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A solid, quality, everyday shampoo. I like using products that don't test on animals, and this one fits. More, the price is low; I feel as if I'm paying for exactly what I get, not a lot of fragrance & chem fluff. It's easy to dispense, has almost no fragrance (none when dry), and makes a calm, low lather. My hair becomes satisfyingly clean; no fireworks or exclamation points. Put simply, it does what it's supposed to do, and for very little money.

I've used many different varieties of gentle, organic-type shampoos. My favorite was Lily Of The Desert shampoo. However, the manufacturer decided to completely change the formulation, then double the selling price. I bought the modified product anyway, and it was TERRIBLE. I began a new search and couldn't find one that produced enough suds to overcome the natural grease in my hair. After a long and expensive search, I FINALLY found this product. It is gentle, yet produces adequate suds during the hair washing process. I recommend this product highly!

Love the ShiKai Products, use both this regular Shampoo as well as the Color Care Shampoo and the leave-in Conditioner and regular Conditioner, all do a great job! The Shampoo's have a great lather and the leave-in Conditioner works great leaving your hair "normal" w/o weighing the hair down or any limp or greasy feeling. Works great in dry hair too, actually spruces your hair up between shampoo's. The Color care Shampoo makes your hair look shiny and healthy as well as improving your color! Makes your hair "pop" it does leave a bit of build-up in the hair as these types of Shampoo does, but then you just use the regular Shampoo in between to off set that. If you color your hair, don't scrub out your ends every time you Shampoo, it's enough to let the Shampoo "run" through your hair when you wash it, in order not to dry it too much, that's what I was recommended by my Hair dresser and it works great to prevent hair from feeling too dry.

Cleans exceptionally well and lathers up stupendously with just a very small amount of shampoo. Rather liquidy shampoo, so it is very easy to spread out and cover all your hair and scalp without much work (this shampoo is better than most all other shampoos on this point). Healthy ingredients, too. This one leaves a squeaky-clean feeling to your hair. If you have very dry hair, you would probably be better off using ShiKai's Moisturizing shampoo instead.

Our family uses this everyday. Sometimes due to the events of the day I needed to use it twice a day. It's very gentle and effective. It leaves our hair light weight and soft.

This is a simple, gentle shampoo that foams quickly and rinses completely. No fancy bottle or aroma or marketing. I bought ten bottles!

Like the shampoo because it cleans well, smells good, and is kid friendly, meaning it worn irritate eyes.

Pluses: no sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, or phthalates. Lathers up nicer than my previous shampoo (Kiss My Face). Reasonably priced. Gets hair clean (most important). Minuses: fragrance is stronger than I like. The way this shampoo is marketed, I expected no fragrance at all, which is what I prefer. The gentle lime smell of Kiss My Face is also not objectionable, but KMF's problem is that it doesn't lather up well. Net: I will finish the bottle, but will probably keep looking for something without such a strong fragrance.
