Nice reel for not much money!
Oh so smooth! For the money, it is an outstanding reel. Still getting used to the auto lock reverse though. I also have a 2500 and 3000. Quality is addictive.

Light reel for ultralight fishing
I own the 1000 model reel (2017 version), which I like a lot. So I purchased the 500 model reel for my ultralight set-up. I haven't used it yet, but if it performs like the 1000 model then I will be satisfied. Good reel for the price.
