This is the second 800 gpm Shoreline bilge pump we have purchased over the years. The first one lasted for about a decade.....hoping this one lasts as long or longer! Shipped really quickly. Still need to install it (it's been raining on the days we had available to drive to the marina which is about a half a day round trip from home). I specifically selected this one because it is an 800 gpm Shoreline. We hooked up our old Shoreline bilge when the old 800 gpm stopped working but the old one is not automatic and does not pump as fast (lower gpm capacity but glad it was still in the boat as a spare).
Works as it should. You don't need a switch, just wire pos and neg and it kicks on and off with rising water.
Works great.highly recommend
Great pump can be removed to replace or clean without removal of mount. This is a key feature I like sine it is mounted to the floor of a Boston Whaler with stainless screws and marine grade silicone to prevent water from ever getting into the foam filled non sinkable hull. Really did not need a pump since I can pull the plug and the boat self drains but it is nice when you take a wave over the transom or get caught in a heavy rain. No more pulling the plug to self drain the boat.
Nice exact replacement pump. Few minutes to swap old with new!
I like the auto and switched option. Plug it in and let it work when it needs to or turn the switch on and run it when you need it. Sure has been more dependable then the last one. Works every time.
Float switch design makes it less likely for debris to interfere with its operation.
This pump is quite where other pumps I have used are noisy and it pumps water as needed but is affected significantly by lift.
hard to review your product when the box was empty when it arrived
This switch is truly unusable. If you attempt to use the auto switch feature it will not stop when dry or will stop pumping for no apparent reason. (No, it wasn't clogged) When wired to run without the switch it also only pumps when it feels like it. I really believe the switch is faulty and the direct wiring must trigger some cut off situation. In any event, it has drained my battery unnecessarily and also had me come to the boat filled with water so it isn't worth much in my estimation. The pump is less than a year old but has acted this way since I bought it.
