Exactly what I was looking for.
Installed 5/15/2016 so I've only used it a few time but it does what I needed it to do. My only comment is that I am using a 3/8" anchor rope and once in awhile the rope will slip to the side of the roller. That's not a big deal for me and if I were to switch to a thicker rope it wouldn't be a problem at all.

have mounted on boat not used yet but should work fine I drilled out holes for a bigger screw

no too bad, could use improvement
the pendulum does not hold rope very well. i purchased shorline anchor rope and it just slips thru the lock. the bottom of the pendulum where it is supposed to hold the rope could use small teeth stamped into it to better hold the rope. or a rubber type cap maybe? it definitely needs something to help it hold better.

Not a necessary item for a small boat.
I bought one of these for my 14 foot StarCraft. I quickly realized it's not a necessary item for a small boat. Thankfully Walmart accepted the item back on return, no questions asked. ++++
