LOVE : Its Shure ..you only buy one for life . I found a reputable studio producer who said it was highly UNDER rated.just look at every live streamer at Youtube! they ALL use it . right now 2 of the BIGGEST music sellers are charging $439 with a straight face !As soon as Ii backed out of the Youtube video I somehow found a WALMART AD saying THEY will ship it free for $93 .00 !! HOWEVER !! I did NOT know that it has a pretty low gain ...so it wouldn't work with my TASCAM multitrack (older) NOT ENOUGH GAIN db . ITS A DYNAMIC MIC so you DO NOT use PHANTOM POWER 48V (thats for condensor and ribbon mics) THIS I KNEW . so you have to either have a brilliant Audio Interface with plenty of db gain OR SIMPLY buy a CLOUD LIFTER .. I got a cheaper alternative FROM TRITON a FETHEAD adapter ...right onto the mic...cable to my deck. easy peasy .WORKS FINE NOW .YOU HAVE TO THEN ADD THE 48v Phantom Power BUT THE TRITON protects the MIC and that's that . I was not only SHOCKED that WALMART had such a product AT SUCH A DEAL and it was my first purchase ...week later found the ROCKVILLE desk mounting BOOM ARM!! ALSO QUALITY PRODUCT for 40 dollars !!!.The Mic is heavy the BOOM is heavy and feels welded to the base !Today I ordered a bunch of cables for my new gear that's coming because music chains charge too much .
AMAZING MICROPHONE WITH AWESOME QUALITY AND AT AN AMAZING PRICE!!! PURCHASE THIS MIC!!!
I'm a professional broadcaster heard nationwide and a voiceover talent/coach. I bought the SHURE sm7B and it sounds top tier. I've used the Neuman u87, Sennheiser 416 and these Shures for more than 3 decades.
This one is a good microphone but its so OVERPRICED!
While this mic does sound good, it's nothing like SHURE SM7B and should not be allowed to advertise as such. The quality is sub par and should cost maybe $20. This is a Walmart error. Apparently, Walmart doesn't care about fraudulent advertising...go figure.
It's being advertised as shure sm7b but it's a generic version which doesn't carry same quality
