A blast to play
Shut the box is simple game. But so much fun. I discovered it a local bar and new I needed to own this game. You can play for hours. The more people the more fun.

Fun game and though a bit pricey it is a game that gives you a chance to win enough money to pay for itself 100 times over

Shut the Box Bookshelf Edition
Very pleased with this game. Made well, attractive box, and fun to play for the whole family. Also an excellent price. With a little care , should be able to hand this game down through the generations.

Great Game for a Couple
Played this in a pub, the history of the game is by itself interesting. Used to be a game on a lot of ships coming to and from England and abroad. Love it because it's a bit strategy and a bit luck. And you can shut it and place on bookshelf and you'd never know it's there.

Was expecting better quality.
Game was delivered broken. The top of the Box was detached from binding. Fortunately my husband was able to use epoxy to reattach the lid at the binding. Dice are dark dots on dark wood. Not the easiest to read.

Don't waste your money
Though the game is well built, the rules and concept is not well thought out. It requires very little skill and strategy and is quite boring. It is a game that will just sit in the closet gathering dust.
