Civ V continues the outstanding tradition and additive quality of the game. A must own for previous players and first-timers.
If you want to play a strategy game or if you have never played a Civ game and want to try one, give Civilization V Gold Edition a try. It contains the vanilla version as well as the expansion Gods and Kings. Not only that, it contains maps and scenarios originally featured as downloadable content for extra added playability. Keep in mind it does not have the Brave New World expansion (that's a separate purchase). Also, you may have to create a Steam account. I couldn't figure out a way around that, so I ended up downloading it from Steam even tho I had the disc. On the bright side, I can now play this game without the disc as long as I have an internet connection. Usually not a problem. Other than the Steam thing, I have enjoyed this one. The fact that you can turn off the expansion or any downloaded content in the menu screen before you play allows you to play any way you choose (with or without the extra content). Definately a must try.
Various game levels are challenging. Game play is very entertaining. my favorite game.
Not a bad game
Was told it was for Windows 10. Wrong. Ever heard of Steam? You MUST sign up with them to play the game, even with a CD and not digital download. They can choose to make you connect online every so often and may choose to charge a monthly service. Decide you don't want to keep an account with them? Fine. You will NEVER be able to play the game again. Absolute waste of time and money to buy.
I could not load/run the DVD. It requires a "Steam" membership - a fact not mentioned in the product listing on the website.
