We bought a No Bo Overlanding travel trailer that has a lot of ground clearance. We needed a truck that also has that capability! Bought a VERY slightly use DR2 Colorado that's perfect for our needs, but it's high door reach was too high for my wife. It already had OEM rails installed, but they were round and slippery! A quick online search showed these “Running Board “ protectors “ that also had nice stepping platforms. They make getting UP and INTO the seats ( all 4 of them) MUCH EASIER! I had to remove the OEM boards before I could install them, so that made installation super simple. The kit came with more fasteners than I needed, But I DID have to re-use the threaded spring clip nuts. Lying on your back, under a vehicle is never THAT fun, but because everything lined up hole -wise, etc. it just took a little longer than anticipated. Getting ALL the fasteners in place and then tightening them all up made “fishing” some of the bolts in place with a knurled extension shaft for a better grip, went pretty easy. The instructions tell you to remove the plastic “plugs “ in the frame to utilize the 4 mounting brackets, so I can't comment on that, because mine were already out. you may need a narrow pry bar to get at those plugs in preparation of installing the brackets. Overall, it went pretty easy and the results are definitely worth the effort!!!
