The chair came quickly. It looks nice and works well. I haven't used it very long but so far it functions good. I would buy again.

A number of reviews indicate that the battery backup system does not work. I feel that these comments my be misleading to someone reading the reviews and that the writers may think that the chair can operate on these 2 9V batteries. In the manual it says...2-9 Volt back-up batteries will operate the chair from the reclined position to the seating position. The batteries will operate one cycle in case of a power failure. Replace the batteries once per year or if used during a power failure.

I'm really glad we purchased this for my 85 year dad. He has mobility issues. Makes it easier on him and his care givers. They don't have to put so much effort into getting him up. Great buy!! I highly recommend this for everyone dealing with an elderly parent.

I love my Ashley Ernestine Power Lift chair, it makes getting up so easy. The chair is a bit firm, but still comfy enough for me. I've had it for about three months. If you are a tall person the foot rest might be too short for you, it fits me just fine. Since I've had a sofa/settee from Ashley's Furniture for ten years, I knew of their quality workmanship since they make the furniture they sell. I would recommend this chair to anybody needing help getting up from a chair.

I expected it to be more comfortable. My wife is 5'2" and I am 5'11" and we both feel it should have more lumbar support and the foot base should go a little higher. Our jobs has left us with some back injuries and we don't feel we will be keeping these long term.

I purchased this for my disabled mother. she loves the lift and the reclining part of the chair but, the footrest does not go far enough out or high enough for her legs to be above her heart ..needs to be elevated due to the swelling! is there anything that you can suggest to add to the footrest to help this for her to relieve the swelling? All suggestions greatly appreciated Tia frustrated daughter!

I got this for my family member that has dementia and doesn't walk.I wish the store/purchase location had a model in the showroom. It would have been nice, ifwe could have a try before we buy option.To make a long story short...This chair is too big for the person that we purchased it for.How can we get a smaller sized chair?

This chair is so hard that I have had to buy a new one in a 15 month time period. The first one they replaced had a motor go bad and since I bought one I have had continual hip and leg pain. My wife tried it and was the first to say it was way to hard and after I tried some different lift chairs, I am replacing this one.
