This was a little extra Christmas gift for my father-in-law so I can give a thorough review since I'm not the one to use it. However it seems to be a great little tool with so many uses. It's easy to open, but not “too easy” to where you might cut yourself. A good purchase for sure!

Christmas present for my grandson. The resistance to swing open the knife blade was too light. If you held the tool horizontally the knife blade would drop down a little from its housing exposing the blade tip making it dangerous to handle. I had to file down the catch a little to balance the contacts of the main blade and the other tool so that the resistance mechanism would stop the blade from moving without applying pressure to the release. The bottom line comes down to the quality of the assembly. I've had a Leatherman for about 20 years and just now is it showing this same malady.
