Silk Danone Refrigerated Vanilla Soymilk (PACK OF 2.5 GALLON)

After many years of enjoying the best Vanilla soymilk on the market, a great product was ruined and no longer on my list. I can't tell you how disappointed I am, and I hope enough people send a message that Silk should not have tinkered with what was once perfection.

What did you change? The vanilla soy milk doesn't taste like vanilla at all and has a really bad aftertaste now. I used to buy 4 cartons at a time and the change is so drastic that I will not buy another. I've already replaced it with an alternative with a different company. At this point I'm just curious what you changed and whether it was profit-driven or health-driven. I see at least three changes with the new red carton formula: the water is no longer filtered, vitamin E Acetate was added, and Potassium Iodide was added. Obviously there can be other changes not listed, especially with the "natural flavors" ingredient being so vague that the FDA allows that to cover so many additives including synthetic solvents, preservatives, emulsifiers, etc. Who knows what is in this new recipe... I have a feeling you're going to lose a lot of business but then again, if this is profit-related then maybe the money saved will make up for it. All I know is that I won't be spending my money on your products any longer.

I've been drinking Silk's vanilla soymilk for years, because I wasn't partial to the taste of regular soymilk, but I couldn't have cows milk due to my digestive disease, so I've used this ever since. Now after years of drinking this, I'll have to find something else since the formula changed. It's not sweet or vanilla anymore, and it's very chalky looking and has a watery consistency. It tasted awful, so I ended up pouring the rest down the drain. Please listen to your customers and return to the old formula, otherwise I definitely won't buy it anymore.

I have been a daily drinker of the blue carton Vanilla Soymilk. Not only has the packaging changed to red, the soy milk has clearly been reformulated and it's not so good. It's thinner, doesn't taste much like vanilla, has more calories and fat. Please bring back the blue carton vanilla soy milk that was creamy and rich and great in coffee or straight from the glass. This new version is very disappointing.

You ruined my favorite vanilla soy milk. You had the best tasting product on the market-- and I have tried them all. I've been a regular customer for more than 15 yrs. You not only changed the carton to red, but with the new recipe you have ruined the flavor. I loved the previous formula in my morning coffee. The new flavor is not only different, it's just not good. The people who made this change must not even use or know the product line. Extremely disappointed and will probably dump Silk products as a result.

I have been drinking Silk for years. Unfortunately, I agree with all the other reviews concerning the vanilla soy milk. I can tolerate the new formula, but I am looking for an alternative to Silk. I'm not certain what you did chemically, but the new Vanilla Soy in the red carton is decidedly an inferior product. I don't like saying this, but it is how I feel.

Have been enjoying the blue carton silk vanilla soy milk for years. To me the formula has been changed in the the new red carton. My coffee has an after taste. It was my go to swap for the vanilla coffee creamer -please bring back the old formula. Wonder if anyone else noticed this?

After trying the new version of Vanilla soy milk, and finding the chalky sludge at the bottom of my mug, I've been searching for a replacement that is similar to the blue carton recipe. I think I've found it! Rolling Hills Farm makes a vanilla soy milk that comes very close to the blue formula that's so sadly missed. But if I'm ever in need of a chalky, gritty, undrinkable liquid- Silk Vanilla Soy milk will be my first option.

Please, bring back the original recipe and original packaging. The original vanilla soy milk was delicious and creamy. I have been reading the reviews and they are unanimous in disliking the new formula. I've just been to the supermarket and I have not bought the new version. I will not buy it until you bring back the original. Why did you change what was perfect already? Who makes those decisions, and why? Even the new packaging is confusing, you have both the regular and the vanilla in the same color! I'm very disappointed! To be honest, I'm even angry about this. This was a really bad decision, and whoever is in charge should not get a Christmas bonus, heck, they should be fired!

Please bring back the previous formulation of Silk Vanilla Soy Milk. Despite shaking the bottom third of the carton is a viscous “goop” that is unusable. Why change a great product? This is simply horrendous. Silk corporation this a huge issue; you will lose revenue with this change!
