Silver Spring Electric Scooter Lift & Carrier

Instructions are vague but anyone with mechanical skills can assemble it i have it installed on a 2017 Chevy Silverado works as it's supposed to motor is strong in lifting loaded scooter

After getting a quote for over $4800 to purchase and install, decided to go online. Bought this online and shipping was fast. Our neighbor helped install and really pleased with the results.

I purchased this for an elderly person in my family, and it has been a game changer for him.

love the lift but they need to put a way to adjust the tilt of the platform. The part away from the car is hogher than the part near the car, also the light is too dim to light the plate and you need the key inside and on position to operate.

Product received early, wasn't really bad to assemble. Does take 2 ppl at some steps. Heavier than I, had thought. Disabled %26 Seniors will definitely need help hooking it up. Really like it, BUT It has some play in the joints on the platform %26 hitch...wobbles good bit. Will want to add something to make it more stable while driving on the roads. Ratchet Straps are amazingly easy to work, add 1 to hold the platform tighter against the lift so its more stable. Very pleased with it over all.

My brother put it together and it was a bit time consuming. The part that took the longest was attaching it to the car battery. He had to go the hardware store to pick up some missing piece. When I lower the lift I have to manually lower the bottom piece that holds the scooter.

Needs better instructions, and come in one box

Great compact carrier for my small scooter... BUT... I bought it for independence. The ratchet straps are too difficult for me to use, let alone get to each of them around all 4 sides of the lift. It's a long struggle to secure and then remove them... and once it gets cold out, I won't be able to do it at all. No independence if I can't use it without my husband's help.

I had it installed on my vehicle and used it several times. We returned home late one night; I let the lift down and removed the scooter like I have done several times before. Before the lift finished returning to the upright position, the lift fell to the ground. It would not go up or down and I had to get someone come and help me remove it from my vehicle. I heard something snap inside the lifting bar. I am not happy with it because I do not feel that it was quality material. It is not useable, and I had to buy another lift to get my disabled husband (who has incurable cancer) back and forth to doctor appointments. I could not afford another power lift since I am still paying for this one that no longer works, so I had to buy a manual lift. I have to lift the ramp up by hand each time we use it. I also have to be concerned about parking because you must have room to let the ramp down to put the scooter on and off my vehicle. If someone parks beside me and I am unable to load it, we are in trouble. We have to park the further away from other vehicle which usually means we are walking a long way to our destination. We cancel doctor appointments if rain is predicted because of this issue. I am not a young person, and my husband is unable to help me lift the ramp. I am not pleased with the lift I bought and will not recommend it to anyone.
