My husband had been searching for a goal for our kids that was very durable and worth the money. We've had it up for about 3 weeks now and I must say we have no.complaints thus far. The kids love it....amd the grown ups as well. It's well worth the money!
When my goal arrived on the pallet the box was opened and in severely bad state. The delivery driver pointed it out to me and wrote a note and signed the slip that it was damaged and may not contain all the parts. All the parts were there but the 54" glass backboard was completely shattered. Their customer service was really helpful and they created a new order for me right away. I was happy to find I got a 60" replacement which is better than what I had purchased! This time everything was smooth and no damage. I read a lot of bad reviews about the board shaking. We just followed the instructions about how much concrete and how to keep it level during the install and I am not seeing any wobble hardly. Amazing system I've died and gone to heaven after playing on a cheap portable Lifetime goal for many years.
We were looking for a sturdy and nice looking goal for my teenage son to use. I read some of the reviews here on WalMart.com and decided to buy it based on those reviews. It came a week or so later in a very large, heavy box. The box was seriously beat up but was very glad to find the parts and backboard were in perfect condition. Once I taped the box up I had to move it with a dolly until we were able to install it. We had to dig down around 34 inches and put a concrete block at the bottom for the pole to sit on. The instructions detailed how to merge the two poles together, and even had an online video. Despite that we were not able to get it to fully merge the parts as directed. This was the hardest part for us however it hasn't appeared to cause any issues (we needed to merge them about one more inch). The hole we dug was not too difficult for our soil thankfully. Once the pole was up and cemented in the backboard was much easier than I expected based on other reviews. We just stood up in the back of a pickup with two adults holding it up while my sons attached the hardware. Took five minutes to attach at most. Also the hardware pack was very well labeled and instructions clear. Now my son is playing and enjoying the adjustable height. Glad we purchased this one.
Bought this for my hubby for Christmas and we finally got it up this last summer. Great hoop for just over $400. My husband and 2 boys are pretty happy and we even found a small hoop to clamp onto the pole for the 2 year old made by silverback.
Good quality few steps up from Portable hoop still shakes a little will try to fill up 1/2 the Post with cement
Great value
This is a fantastic product. I bought one through an employee purchasing program and it looks super sharp, very high-quality materials, and is so much fun to use. I would recommend to anyone!
very high quality basketball goal. best part of the whole process were the instructions. so easy to read, step by step, and not translated from Chinese.
This is such a good basketball goal! I'm so happy we bought this one. The kids love it and are always playing on it.
The end result for this goal is fabulous, however....the installation is easily the most difficult item I have ever assembled. It took 5 people to mount the backboard to the post, which the instructions say will only take three. Impossible unless each person is 6' 6" and incredibly strong. Many of the bolts and washers are extremely hard to get in place and tighten. If you are able to find someone to install this for you, I would strongly suggest just paying someone. Also, you have to dig a 32 inch hole, that doesn't sound like much until you are about 12 inches down and realize you have a long way to go! The instructions are fairly easy to follow, but executing them is very hard. Nevertheless, it is a great product, very sturdy, looks great and is super easy to raise and lower; so easy my first grader can do it. Wait for it to go on sale though, the list price of "699-$799 is far too high for this product. I got it Black Friday for $399 and other sites have sales from time to time. It's not a $700 to $800 product.
