Game changer

Shanea January 1, 2026

Love this goal. My kids are obsessed. They will make plenty of memories playing. Game changer. Stop buying the goals you put water/Sand and spend the money on this goal.

Silverback hoop

Eddie Canales August 15, 2026

After reading the reviews for this hoop I ended up ordering this one mainly because the pile is imbedded in concrete. I'm glad I made this purchase but it was also a pain to dig a hole very deep in the earth which is roughly 28 to 30 inches and 16”x16”. You will need a wheel barrow to carry a large amount of dirt out and be prepared to break sediment with some type of breaker bar or other tool. Before starting this and what I should have done first was to call miss dig. After miss dig puts the flags in your yard you should be good to go. The hole I put my hoop pole in had a sprinkler line in the way so sprinkler guy moved it for me for 400 dollars. 💸 these projects can get costly so plan accordingly. The instructions wanted me to put a cinder block in the hole and my hole needed to be 32 inches deep, however I hit a fiber line conduit for internet around 28 inches in. That is where I stopped and put some dirt over the conduit and bought a half cinder block instead of the full length of cinder block. That seemed to help as now my pole was at bury depth. Make sure the pole is level with a magnetic leveler hooked on the side. Setting the pole will take three people minimum. One person makes the concrete in the wheel barrow about 9-10 50 lb. Bags, get your shovel and start mixing with water. The other two people will hold the pole on either side while the person at the wheel barrow dumps the concrete mix in the hole all while the pole is on top of the cinder block. The next step involves 2x4's to be setup around the pole to keep it straight along with some sand bags to hold down the 2x4's. This literally took all day so be prepared to spend some time. Once 48 hours has passed check the concrete and by then you should be good to go to now assemble the hoop at heights with a step ladder. This major step literally took about 6 people the back board is heavy so get your friends to help you out it is no joke and someone could get hurt it is heavy. Three people minimum to hold the back board while one person puts the screws to attach to the frame. Once this is all done you can now enjoy the fruits of your labor by playing basketball yeah! The hoop is super sturdy and although it says don't dunk I feel it can support the weight of an adult. I would recommend this hoop to all although the installation was interesting to say the least.

Great in ground system for the price.

Kobe24GK March 25, 2013

The Silverback SB60 in ground basketball system is an excellent product for the price. Extremely well engineered allowed for a quick and painless installation. A contractor/friend helped with the install - be was impressed with the product having installed a few in his time. Took about 5 hours to install allowing concrete to dry overnight. Backboard has very little vibration - a great driveway system for family and friends. Thrilled with our purchase.

SBX 60

Solid set up. Had hesitation due to reviews that mentioned the excessive shaking. Shaking is mild, make certain to follow the directions on install- especially the footer. Would buy again, definitely recommend.

Get a truck and 4 guys

Kelly April 13, 2017

love the basketball goal- recommend! Looks awesome ! Works great! Tips: 1. Borrow a post digger or Auger for digging the hole. Not necessary, but will be happy you had it. 2. Be patient when attaching the 2 poles together. Video shows it as a 1 minute process, our reality was probably 6 minutes , but it finally happened. 3. Concrete hardens quick... so just move quickly, so the anchor plate can go in easily. We almost couldn't get the anchor plate on, cause the concrete had started to harden. 4. Most important-We used our truck for attaching the backboard to the post. Had three men stand in the truck bed and hold the backboard, while the fourth guy was on a ladder screwing in the pieces. 5. Enjoy!! LOVE IT!!

Great buy!

WalMartFanatic007 May 29, 2016

My husband had been searching for a goal for our kids that was very durable and worth the money. We've had it up for about 3 weeks now and I must say we have no.complaints thus far. The kids love it....amd the grown ups as well. It's well worth the money!

Easy install. Looks nice. Not sturdy enough

Anonymous May 28, 2023

Works fine! I was surprised that you can't dunk on this high quality of a system but seeing that it is a hollow pole and wobbles just from a basketball hitting it, I can understand that it is simply not strong enough.

Great Product VERY DIFFICULT Instalation!

FourWheelinDude December 12, 2015

The end result for this goal is fabulous, however....the installation is easily the most difficult item I have ever assembled. It took 5 people to mount the backboard to the post, which the instructions say will only take three. Impossible unless each person is 6' 6" and incredibly strong. Many of the bolts and washers are extremely hard to get in place and tighten. If you are able to find someone to install this for you, I would strongly suggest just paying someone. Also, you have to dig a 32 inch hole, that doesn't sound like much until you are about 12 inches down and realize you have a long way to go! The instructions are fairly easy to follow, but executing them is very hard. Nevertheless, it is a great product, very sturdy, looks great and is super easy to raise and lower; so easy my first grader can do it. Wait for it to go on sale though, the list price of "699-$799 is far too high for this product. I got it Black Friday for $399 and other sites have sales from time to time. It's not a $700 to $800 product.

Too much shake and sway.

Dafe April 27, 2026

Very well made product. Looks amazing. Instructions were easy to follow. Unfortunately the unit shakes far more than what I would expect for the price and quality. The board shakes and sways after every single shot.

To much movement

Wellsding January 25, 2022

I think for the money it shakes to much after a shot. I also think everyone should know the concrete base for this is no joke they want a 16” round hole 3' deep that's about 13 60lbs bags of quick Crete and still there is shaking it's a nice goal and will work for my 8 and 6 year olds for now and probably for several years but I will go with a different better one next time
