Silverback SBX 50" Backboard Portable Height-Adjustable Basketball Hoop Assembles in 90 Minutes

Quality hoop. Not too bad to put together. The "90 minute" assembly would be by somebody who already knows how these things go together without needing the instructions, but the pieces were clearly labeled and the instructions were satisfactory. I'd consider it a good upgrade to the previous hoop we had to replace, which was also a portable system with a popular brand. My son weighs about 135 and will dunk on it, without pulling down the rim, and it holds up well. Definite better quality than your entry level portable hoops. I'm happy with the purchase.

The basketball hoop is perfect for our 6yo and 8yo. Takes 2 people to assemble but instructions were clear and easy to follow. Easy to adjust height.

It was pretty easy to assemble, as I was able to assemble by myself in a couple of hours. It is easy to change the height (my 7 year old is able to adjust by himself). I am also able to move it around by myself.

Perfect option for my 9 and 12 year old boys. The love how sturdy the hoop is and how the ball comes off the rim and backboard compared to some less expensive alternatives. Any extra cost, which is fairly negligible, is well worth it just for the ease of assembly. Make sure you have a 3/8ths metric ratchet, extension bar, and box wrenches. I would suggest a 2nd person to help with some aspects of assembly and I can't recall if the instructions suggest this tool or not, but the bolts on the articulating portion of the assembly are much easier to secure with a deep socket (I think it was 19mm) bit.

Assembled this w/the help of my 2 young daughters (7, 11) in an afternoon. Its great. Good looking hoop and very sturdy for a portable setup. Easy enough to move around + easy to adjust height. Highly recommend. Also very happy with shipping - came quickly and professionally delivered into my garage. Would have liked more communication after purchase and before shipping company called, but all in all VERY happy and highly recommend dealing with Escalade and highly recommend this portable hoop.

I just assembled it and it wasn't too difficult. I'm not very handy (though my wife is) and we got it assembled in a couple hours. It's easy to move and easy to adjust the height, which isn't always true for these kinds of units. The backboard has the deadening effect for bank shots that is common for these units, but not true to play on a basketball court. The oddest feature is that, if you make a shot on the 10-foot setting, there's a good chance the ball will hit the lip of the base and deflect 50 feet away. It's like punishment for making the shot. Lower settings don't have this feature as much.

Delivery person would not place in garage and just left item in my driveway. Weighs like 175 lbs

Great, sturdy rim with good wheels. Purchased to move in/out of garage due to HOA rules but even with the backboard in the lowest position it is still to tall to get through the garage door. For now we are wheeling next to house which is a bit cumbersome as the system is heavy due to it being so sturdy. A great product if you don't have to move it too often.

Don't buy this product. I had the bottom filled with sand and bungee corded to my chain link fence and it still blew over in the wind and the backboard shattered in the grass! Very poor quality. Save your money and just buy a cheap one for your kids because ones like that that are supposed to be stronger are still just at poorly made. Very disappointed and angry.
