Have used these for quite a while, they really do help clothes dry faster with less static and do actually seem to remove any lingering odors from the wash. They're great if you don't like perfumed products. Make great gifts. Highly recommended.

I am pleased with these silver infused dryer balls. I'm not entirely convinced that the silver really does add much extra to their utility, but it's an interesting gimmick. There are six balls in a handy drawstring bag. They are kind of smelly (I think all wool dryer balls might be this way) but the smell doesn't impart into the clothes. I threw them in with a wet towel and a scented dryer sheet to deodorize them a bit prior to doing a regular load. They do work to help the clothes dry more efficiently. Really staticky materials still need fabric softener for me, though. I like to give these as gifts to loved ones who might not think of buying them for themselves. I do have one complaint: there is a tag with a QR code that says to check out tips before using, but the landing page just seems to be ads for more products with no instructions to be found.

I have a newer washer and dryer and I hate to complain... but I will... they tend to stink due to the doors being sealed so well. Which is probably why there are so many laundry scent bead type things around now, as well as washing machine cleaners. My laundry tended to have a musty scent and I refuse to try to cover it up with fake fragrance. So, the solution is to run the tub clean cycle a lot. Keep the doors open to let them dry out between loads, and use these dryer balls. My laundry is now normal smelling without a lot of overly scented dryer sheets. These seem to cut the drying time down as well because they untangle and beat the clothes while they are tumbling. I have a huge dryer so I used all six balls.

I have stopped using fabric softener completely since purchasing these balls. There is no noticeable difference in my laundry, but I am saving a lot of money by not buying fabric softener. The balls stay in the dryer and do their job. They do the same job as the fabric softener did.

These are large wool dryer balls with fine silver thread wound through them. They came in a nice carrying/storage bag. These really do work. I've always been a heavy fabric softener user, not so much for the scent but for the hand feel of the clothes when they come out of the dryer. I was really skeptical that these would provide anywhere near the same softness, and boy was I wrong. I've run about 6 loads of laundry with them, including a load of towels and a load of karate gis. Everything comes out super soft, and I can't smell any odor, so the silver must work as well. I'm super impressed. Highly recommend.

These do work as described. My laundry loads don't normally have any leftover odors, so I cannot attest to whether the silver threads help in that regard. The balls do soften my laundry without all the perfumed dryer sheets. I have a stack unit washer/dryer, which is somewhat smaller than typical units. So, I use 3 wool balls in the dryer instead of six.

So I'm not sure how effective these are with regard to the silver threading being a part of the dryer ball. I don't want to say its gimmicky, because the science side of my brain says yeah, that makes sense. But I just don't have a way to confirm its actually lessening static or odor. I only dry clean clothes that are already odor free and I have no plans to dry dirty clothes for the sake of testing it. Also, I use dryer sheets, just one and these as a combination give me excellent results. I never intended to replace my dryer sheets with dryer balls, but they do help me not need to add 2 or 3 sheets for larger loads like towels/bedding. That said, they work great for what they need to do and I give them 5 stars!

We were a little concerned that these balls would leave lint/wool all over the clothes, but so far that has not been an issue at all. The clothes are coming out without static cling, dry, and softer than they would without the balls. So far, very happy with these.

The biggest problem with these dryer balls is remembering to use them. Everyone in the household is so used to using dryer sheets that we all keep forgetting to use these instead. But when we have used them, they have done a good job with preventing static and wrinkled laundry. We haven't tried adding essential oil yet so they haven't so I can't comment on they work when used that way yet, but there definitely have not been any bad odors to the laundry so I am pleased with these. Now if only we can all get in the habit of using these instead of the sheets.

I mean‚. Yeah, nope. I've heard so much about these work on static and softness. Used them on 2 blankets, without dryer sheets and when unloading them, the blankets were not soft and had static. I took them out and used a sheet for a low 20 minute cycle and they came out soft & static free. I like using the balls for helping with time reduction, but these were supposed to be extra. doesn't work as advertised, but works (as all wool balls) with saving time. The bag to store them is nice, so I appreciate that. But if you want wool balls, don't buy the hype‚. Just get any wool balls for your dryer and find the best deal. Not worth the extra expense.
