This similac formula is for those special babies with tender a stomach, due to fussiness and gas due to lactose sensitivity. My youngest granddaughter has this and this is the main formula she can tolerate. This is infant formula fortified with Iron, non-gmo and with added opti-gro combination of DHA, Lutein, and Vitamin E. All contribute to the health of your baby who suffers through gassy stomach and fussiness due to tummy hurting. This type of similac is highly recommended for these babies with this problem and I can verify that it does help my 6 month old granddaughter. This comes ready to serve, do not warm in microwave, as it might heat it too hot. The container holds 1 qt of liquid formula, all you need to do is shake it while in bottle, twist cap off and use cap to puncture the seal, pour into bottle and warm for the baby. Once bottle is opened it needs to be refrigerated and used within a time of 48 hours. If any happens to be left over, it needs to be poured out. This formula is made by Abbott Nutrition, Abbott Laboratories in Columbus, OH, USA. The formula is gluten free. I highly recommend this formula if your child has the lactose sensitivity of regular formula or milk. It is made for stage one of infancy, birth - 12 months of age.
This Similac Sensitive OptiGRO Non-GMO Milk-Based Ready to Feed Infant Formula is a wonderful product to have on hand. You don't have to worry about mixing or measuring and that comes in handy when you have a fussy baby who wants to eat right away. All there is to do is grab a bottle, pour in the number of ounces you need, screw on the nipple and let your baby enjoy his meal. It's so easy and mistake proof and I would definitely recommend this product to every busy mom or dad. This is one formula you can't go wrong with!
My daughter was originally on Similac Advanced Ready to Feed (Non-GMO) and then starting getting very gasy so we switched to the Similac Sensitive Ready to Feed (Non-GMO) and I wouldn't know what to do without this formula. She loves it and it does not make her gasy or spit up. I kept my daughter on a "ready to feed" formula since she was having digestive issues I do not want to chance or change what is working well for her. Ordering it through Jet where we are getting free shipping makes it even easier and better since I do not have to lug it from the store to my car and from my car to the house. I highly recommend this formula!!! #sweepstakes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We originally started with advance but figured out quickly that our baby was gassy and fussy from it. So we switched to this in powder form but the pre mixed works even better - worth every extra penny!
After using many kinds of formula (different brands, as well as various other types of Similac), this one definitely works best for my son. He used to have a lot of gas and get very fussy, as well as the beginning stages of constipation. After we switched to the Pro-sensitive, all is that changed almost overnight. His bowel movements (both timing and consistency) were regular again, he has been far less fussy, and the amount of gas has decreased significantly! He seems to really enjoy it and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone having the same issues!
We have used the Similac line of baby products. The reason I have given this only 4 stars is that our little girl spits up after feedings with the liquid. I'm not sure why, but when we are home, we mix our own. We used Similac Sensitve Dry Formula and love it. I will say that the liquid is great when we travel, one bottle vs water, and dry formula container. I also like the fact that Similac uses Non GMO Milk. With all the additives in our foods today, why not start your child as natural as possible. I would recommend Similac formulas. Please try both forms, it might just be my little girl who has a problem with spitting up after feeding.
Switched to this after using Organic powder. My baby was grunting and gassy and not doing well with the powder. Once we switched I seen the reliefs in one day.
Infant tolerates this better than powder. Powder has so much bubbles that causes gas pains. I will be switching to enfamil because the liquid is too expensive. Jets shipping was very fast
I am not one to write reviews but this has been the worst company to deal with! They never get our orders right and then when they are wrong expect us to get everything packaged back together and shipped back to them to then wait weeks on a refund! I'm not sure what the difference is between the pro-sensitive and the pro-advance, but this is the second time that we have tried the pro-sensitive. Both times, he has become stopped up and gassy after a day of drinking the pro-sensitive. Clearly not for my baby. It would be extremely helpful if I could find an easy guide on the ingredient differences between products so that I could avoid certain ingredients.
