We usually buy the non pro version of this formula, but because the price increased by $5 on similac total comfort now called similac gentle comfort, I decided to pay $2 more for the pro version. Long story short my daughter born preemie did not do well on similac sensitive it made her constipated. Alimentum caused her loose stool and the liquid form of it for some reason is better than the powder form. It's been a year on total comfort/gentle comfort and it works perfectly. She does have no form poop and it's green from this formula. The major issue but well worth it is that this formula and non pro version is very difficult to mix. So I make her formula in a mixing pitcher and use warm water. If you use room temp water and try to mix in a bottle you will be shaking forever to get the formula mixed and they tell you to twirl and not shake the bottle, but twirling will not get this formula to mix. Then if you pre make formula or bottles the formula will somewhat separate from the water and you'll see it at the bottom of the bottles or in my case the pitcher. To deal with that issue i just mix the formula in the pitcher again before making more bottles and shake the premade bottles before giving.
This is the type of formula my baby is on. their was only 2 in stock when i made my order, and they got it correct.
My last baby has a very sensitive tummy and every formula before finding this one would give her constant diarrhea. this formula is the only one that works for her.
We love this formula. Tried almost all the different types of enfamil before switching to this. This is the only formula my daughter has tolerated well! So glad we finally found one that doesnt make her gassy and also doesnt constipate her!
Unfortunately it's one of the most expensive ones and it SUCKS if you “make too much” to receive any benefits Thankfully it worked on our baby since she was born, so we didn't have to try anything else. But my gosh. The price!!!
I mean all formula isn't cheap… but this stuff is great for baby's esp when they are pre-term babies. It's easy in the digestive system and my baby doesn't ever rarely ever spit this up. Definitely recommend to all new parents!
I gave this formula 3 stars because it definitely gave my baby terrible runny stool. After using this for about a month our pediatrician changed us from Pro-Total Comfort to the Total Comfort and that changed the game almost immediately (within hours). We still use the Similac, it's just without the PRO (Probiotics). That's the reason for my three stars on this product in particular.
just didn't work for my little one or my niece ....found out about my daughters milk allergy.... and protein 1 used in US milk vs protein 2 in other countries from doctor when she had a reaction to something in this formula. i wouldn't recommend simply bc i think you should do your research and also ask your pediatrician questions. turned my babies stool slimey and then to water consistency, did not go well with her tummy or her bottom. digestion issues were evident within week one even tried mixing with breastmilk to get her used to it.
It claims to help with gas and fussiness…and I think it said something about spitting up. It didn't help with any of that. It constipated him actually.
They won't actually deliver all 6 cans and then they will make you waste time getting in touch with them to get a refund. They only gave me 4, then asked me to return the 4 so they'd deliver 6. When i refused they said they would not deliver 2 more and could only offer a refund.
