Got it on sale and really happy with the set up. Compact. Good feel. Nice sound through headphones. Rack feels solid especially for the snare. Easy assemble. Good module sounds. And everyone in the house doesn't have to hear me smashing away.
I had been looking at the Titan 50 for a couple months. Glad I waited. Arrived in perfect condition.
I really wanted to like the Titan 50. It looks like a great deal at first. It has mesh pads, it doesnt take up much space, and the price is good for beginners. There are some good things about it. The pads feel pretty nice to hit, and it works fine for simple practice at low volume. It was also easy to setup, and it fits well in small spaces. But after owning it for a little while, the problems became more clear. The biggest problem is the sound module. The sounds seem ok at first, but after some time they start to sound fake and boring. They dont sound very real, and there isnt many ways to adjust them. If you want it to sound like a real drum set, you will probly be dissapointed. The hi hat is also frusterating. It doesnt always respond the same way, especially when trying to play more detailed patterns. It can be hard to control softer or more carefull playing. As you get better, this problem becomes more noticable. The build quality is another issue. The frame is light and can move around more then it should. The cymbal pads also dont feel very strong, and Im not sure how long they will last. It doesnt feel like something you can use for many years. It feels more like something you will replace once you improve. Its not terrible, and beginners can still use it. But the sound isnt very good, it doesnt respond as well as it should, and it may not last a long time. It feels more like a temporary drum set then a good long term purchace. I dont hate it, but I wouldnt buy it again.
