I'm not a fan of the straws, so gave the flip lid a shot. I absolutely love it. The hole size is perfect, and it seals tight and doesn't leak. Even the technology of how it locks down is cool. Handle is also very strong. You will not be disappointed.

I went ahead and ordered the alternative top and like it much better than the original one, which was canteen style. This allows for drinking as you would from any glass, and then securely snapping it closed. And it's great to be able to carry it with one finger since it's a good sized container that is weighty when full. Encourages drinking lots of water!

I need more colors please! This is the best lid that goes with the most awesome “water” bottle out there... I love the Simple Modern flasks that have so many color choices for the artist in me... and I use these lids instead of the boring black that come standard with them... I've been using these for many years, carrying my coffee to work in my handbag HORIZONTALLY and it never spills. I have never had an accident. Yes, I'm careful to vent it before I put it in. So... since I'm writing.... I need purple or plum or lavender... something close on the color wheel... please? Thank you! You're the BEST!

When I first bought my water bottle, the lid it came with was awesome. But over time me being clumsy and dropping it took its toll. The edge was chipped and the hinge broke on one side. I bought THIS lid to replace it and I like it so much more than the one it came with. Much easier to open and I don't accidentally get a bunch of ice cubes in my mouth every time I try to drink out of it. Definitely a 5 star purchase.

I ordered a replacement lid for my 18oz Summit after dropping it and breaking the handle. I like the flip top better than the straw type because I can open it, drink, and then close it one handed if needed without my mouth ever touching the lid. Great for when I'm hydrating while eating food and its going to be a long day before I can wash it. Ymmv, but for me it's the best bottle and lid. Great look and feel, and doesn't leak!

I was so excited--it looked perfect for sipping hot or cool beverages. It's well made--I appreciate that. But compared to other brands, my nose hits this one, preventing my mouth from getting a solid connection. Plus the opening is wide enough that the liquid spills out in a spread-out formation, so nearly every time it leaks around the corner of my mouth. So I'm probably not going to use it. :(

I got this different top because I didn't like that my mouthpiece was never covered on the top that came with my bottle. It seemed like it was going to work fine, BUT the flip top grips too hard to the bottle and it's difficult for me to open. I've gone back to using the old top.

I find that I can't continually gulp with this lid. I end up spilling water on myself because it leaks out of the sides. I still haven't found a lid that help me drink a large amount at once. I don't like sipping my water so I end up removing the lid and drinking straight from the bottle.

I don't like the lid. I prefer the stainless steal one. This one barely lets any water out so you put your mouth up to it and mostly get air. It's not gonna be a good situation. I'm gonna swallow air. I'd rather drink it like normal. Going to try the chug lid and hope it has better low.
