Very simple to use! I got it to automatically turn off my cheap coffee pot after brewing. It turns off after 1 hour, I would have liked one more button for an extra 30 minutes, but I'm quite happy with it as it is. Nice compact size, I can actually plug in another item in the outlet if I wanted to.
A simple, easy to use device. Plug it into the socket, then plug in the appliance (fan, light, etc.). It has 5 settings, from continuous use to 5 minutes, etc., up to 30 minutes. Great for a fan or white noise machine to help you sleep, then it shuts off QUIETLY! I highly recommend this.
This is a good, inexpensive little device that is as about as simple to operate as it gets. I got two of them for my negligent roommate who constantly left appliances on and hot, and one for my downstairs 85 year old neighbor with increasing senility. *The only drawback to this design is that the first setting is 'Hold' which is just On, you must click twice to get to timing for 10 min, thrice for 20 min and so on. Not the best set-up for the elderly forgetful, the LAST setting should be full ON, not the first.
It was just the timer I needed for an outdoor heater that is often left turned on.
cut my electric bill by 20 dollars a month
Can water yard to time set, easy and fast.
This is just what I needed. After knee surgery, I got an icing machine (circulates ice cold water thru a pad applied to the injured area). Icing needs to be limited to 20-minutes. It's simple to turn on this timer to run 20-minutes, then it shuts off the pump, even if I doze off. I ran a power strip to my bedside table, then plugged this "safety outlet" into the power strip, then my icing machine into this safety outlet. So it's easy to reach. When I'm fully recovered, my daughter wants to use it to run a fan in her room for an hour at bedtime. The numbers are too small to read without my glasses; I just know to push the button 3 times to get the center light on (for 20 minutes). I wish it had a countdown, so I could know how much longer it will run. If I select 20 minutes, the light above "20" stays on the whole time. I thought it might switch to "10" when 10-minutes were left, but it does not.
Was exactly as expected and works perfectly
Our old timer had selections by hours, not minutes. I wish this one had longer time than one hour. I should have looked more carefully at the specifications. Other than that, it is great.
I had been looking for years for this type of countdown timer. This was a find, and at a good price. I still like my older timers with just a single push to get a 15, 30 or 60 min. auto off, but at least I found this auto off to be certain appliances are not left on by accident. I often use this type of timer for charging my battery drill, or string trimmer. Leaving it plugged in all time, even after it reaches charge makes me nervous. Feel the heat coming from the charger just resting there; with the battery fully charged! This timer also has a three conductor plug!
