This lamp is very nice and the best part is there is a plug on the base so I plugged a phone charger in to the lamp. Being able to do this makes the phone charger cord longer to use while sitting on the couch next to it so it’s perfect! The lamp looks very heavy but it is more of a medium weight. I like the brushed gold look. The mechanics are nice, easy to turn on and off.

When it comes to lamps and shades and their related items such as a harp and finial, which are the metal pieces that bring the lamp and the shade together, they do not come at a low cost if you want something decent. This lamp was actually a great deal, although be advised it does not come with the harp and finial. I used the previous lamp's harp and bought a matching finial in antique brass for $5 from a local lamp shop. The lamp color is antique brass and the finish is nice, it seems to have a greenish glow to it in certain light. The only thing I didn't realize is that it has an outlet embedded in the bottom section on the outside of the lamp base. I'm assuming this is for a phone charger or related item, however, it changes the overall look. For this purchase, it didn't matter. We got the lamp shade from Bed, Bath and Beyond also in Antique Gold and together it looks like many lamps around town or on the web that are easily $85 and up, usually a lot more. For the lamp , shade and finial it was around $85. The reason it's better to put it together yourself is because it's very difficult to find a lamp that has the base and shade in the color and style you're looking for. We also got another shade for a wall lamp from Bed, Bath and Beyond online. Overall, they had the best selection, deals and quality. Use the 15% coupon and it will cover the shipping and more.
