My first Simplehuman of five plus years was a slim with a faulty top that would constantly fall off. Rather than go looking for the slim size at a Big Box store, I decided to go online. Wow, I was happy with the purchase to receive the new and improved can so fast. Thank you from a satisfied customer.

This is our second Simple Human trash van, as we are replacing all the trash cans in our house. It is quiet close, which I love. It has a sturdy step to open the lid. I like this plastic trash can just as much as I like our metal one. I highly recommend.

I really love it, slim and takes advantage of space. I would only change the closure hinge on thee to be metal as plastic brakes easily.

We like the shape of this can and the overall look is easy to live with. The reason for not rating it at 5 stars is because the can scooches backwards when stepping on the foot pedal. For that reason, we needed to place it against a wall. If someone were to step very gingerly, with care, every time, it might not happen. In our home, we tend to move swiftly when discarding trash.

I don't know how many different kitchen trash cans I've tried over the years, but I'm 100% sold on this one! Finally, one that fits all my needs! First of all, the fact that it's simplehuman means that it has trash bags that fit exactly. That's obviously so helpful. Next, it has a rimmed lid that holds that bag in place. Part of that lid is the section that opens with the foot pedal. It closes slowly, automatically. I used to keep my cans under the kitchen sink and as a result they were never large enough. So I picked another spot in my kitchen for the can. I specifically got this size, which I was afraid might be too big, but it's perfect. It's easy to open the entire lid to remove the bag. Everything with this can seems so effortless!! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because when the can arrives, the lid isn't attached in the back - you have to attach it. I'm pretty capable at that kind of thing, but it took me many frustrated attempts before I got it right. (There were no instructions in the carton.) So I suggest, in the future, simplehuman ship this can already assembled. But other than that, I give it 5 thumbs up!
